Chapter 4{Chapter 3 contd}

hapter 4(Chapter 3 cont'd.)But as they walked out of the school gates, Victoria's expression suddenly changed from shame to defiance. She turned to her father and said, "I'm not sorry, Dad. I'd do it again if I had to."

Mr Smith's face fell, his eyes filled with disappointment. "Victoria, how can you say that? Fighting is never the answer."

Victoria shrugged. "It's the only way to deal with people like Nneoma. She thinks she's so perfect, but she's not."

Nneoma's eyes widened in shock, her face hurt by Victoria's words. "That's not true, Victoria. I'm not perfect, and I made a mistake."

Victoria sneered. "You're always so fake, Nneoma. You think you're better than everyone else, but you're not."

Mrs. Okoro stepped forward, her voice firm. "Victoria, that's enough. You will apologize to Nneoma right now."

But Victoria refused, her eyes flashing with anger. "No, I won't. I'm not sorry, and I never will be."

And with that, she stormed off, leaving her father and Nneoma's mother looking at each other in concern. They knew that Victoria's behaviour was not acceptable, and they vowed to work on her attitude and behaviour.

As they walked away from the school, Nneoma turned to her mother and said, "Mom, I'm sorry. I know I made a mistake, and I'll do better next time."

Mrs Okoro smiled, her eyes filled with pride. "I know you will, Nneoma. You're a good girl, and you'll learn from this experience."

But Victoria's unrepentant attitude left a sour taste in everyone's mouth, a reminder that some people refuse to learn from their mistakes and take responsibility for their actions.
