Clean Slate

After the confrontation, Tunde realized he had to step up his game if he wanted to win Nneoma back. He knew he had hurt her deeply, and it would take time and effort to regain her trust.

He started by being more present in their relationship. He showed up at her doorstep with her favourite flowers, and sunflowers, and took her on surprise dates to her favorite spots. He listened to her more, really listened, and showed her that he was committed to making things work.

Nneoma was hesitant at first, still hurt and unsure if she could trust Tunde again. But as he continued to show up, to be there for her, she started to see the changes in him. She saw the effort he was putting in, the way he looked at her with newfound appreciation and love.

One day, as they sat on a bench watching the sunset, Tunde turned to her and said, "Nneoma, I know I can't undo what's been done, but I want to make it right. I want to be the man you deserve, the man who makes you happy."

Nneoma's heart skipped a beat as she looked into his eyes. She saw the sincerity there, the love and determination. And for the first time since the incident, she felt a spark of hope.

"Okay, Tunde," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'll give you another chance. But it's going to take time, and it's going to take effort from both of us."

Tunde's face lit up with a smile, and he pulled her into a gentle embrace. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes, Nneoma. I promise."ReplyForwardAdd reaction
