In the midst of the Great Depression, New York City is a hotbed of crime and intrigue. Detective James Spectre tackles cases involving a mysterious phenomenon known as “Manifestos”—supernatural abilities that manifest uniquely in certain individuals. With his own Manifesto, Lacerta, which allows him to shoot scales like bullets, James faces a challenging journey. He must confront old enemies, mentors, and the ghosts of his past to solve crimes and find redemption in a world teetering on the edge of chaos.

Spectres of the Past: Requiem of the Spectre

Ability: Can shoot its scales like bullets. Is able to heal itself. After unlocking the black flames, its attacks are now far more powerful, and its bullets are far faster than ever before.

Ability: Its body is made up of a gas that causes a person's muscles to turn into bone.

Ability: This Manifesto is able to steal the Manifesto of other people, it can then either use their powers for itself or give them to other people.

Ability: Can turn anything the user has carved into a puppet. The puppets themselves are physical objects, and can be seen by everyone, including non-Manifesto users.

Ability: Can hold other Crux puppets within its body. Is able to use its eight large limbs to attack.

Ability: Is small and numerous. Is mostly good as a distraction, rather than being an actual way of attacking.

Ability: Is very agile and powerful. This puppet has four arms and has superhuman mobility, allowing it to contort its body into any number of odd or inhuman ways.

Ability: It can create eight strings, and attach these to people, objects, or Manifestos. Once something has been attached to its strings, the target can no longer move of their own free will and are manipulated by Eridanus.
