NOT ALL MOONLIGHT AND ROSES

As if fate decided to mock Five. The next day both he and Forty-four opened the door to get to class but what they saw was two guards in front of the door. Before they could understand what was going on, two tranquilizer darts were sticking out of their bodies, which immediately made them lose consciousness.

Both of them were carried away by a guard in the opposite direction.

Five woke up in a cold and dark room, he tried to stand, but instead, he felt himself floating in the air, it later dawned on him that he was tied upside down with his long hair flowing downward and it seemed he wasn't wearing any pants or shirt except for his briefs.

He didn't know how long he had been like this after waking up until he heard a door opening on one side of the room, this allowed little light to come inside the room, but this didn't take long cause whoever came in didn't waste time to close it back. Five wasn't able to see the person cause he was already having a hard time thinking straight since he was feeling utmost pressure in his head for hanging upside down for so long.

"You disobeyed the only rule set and revealed your name." The newcomer said as Five could hear his steps getting closer and he wondered how the man was able to see in this total darkness.

Standing in front of five" You are now a shadow and a shadow doesn't have a name"

Five wasn't paying attention to what he was saying but was thinking about Forty-four and hoping he wasn't in the same situation as him which he was likely to be as well, cause he also revealed his name to him. A sense of guilt washed over him, if he didn't tell Forty-Four his name, he believed he wouldn't have revealed his as well.

Another thing bothering him was how they found out, he didn't think there was a camera in their room cause if that be the case they should have known that Forty-four must have developed his shape-shifting ability. But if they found out about revealing their names to each other, that means they must know now that Forty-Four has developed an ability and must have been taken away like the rest right?

"Where's Forty-Four?" Five finally decided to ask

The man chuckled instead."worry about yourself first, this isn't a place to make friends. Now let's proceed with your punishment."

If the man could see his face right now, he would see that he had a confused expression on it, he thought that hanging upside down was enough punishment already but that belief was immediately shattered when he felt a sudden sting on his body and a loud noise.

The noise was from a whip which just made contact with his bare body. Even if caught unaware Five endured it and tried not to give his punisher the benefit of hearing him cry out in pain.

"A strong one, this will be fun." The man said in a mocking voice.

The second whip came, third, fourth, fifth. They came into contact with any part of his body and due to the darkness, he couldn't predict its trajectory and where it would hit next.

*Crack*

With every whip that made contact with his body, it became more and more difficult to bear. You couldn't blame him, how much pain can a kid bear? And with the 38 whip, he finally let out a scream. But that was a mistake on his part cause the person whipping him was a sadist for hearing his scream the whipping intensified and became much faster when delivered.

It got to a point that Five couldn't bear it anymore and he fainted.

"He's a strong one indeed." The man chuckled once again. He raised his left palm and electric currents suddenly started dancing on it which he placed on Five's body the current traveled around his body and he immediately regained consciousness from the electrocution. "Let's continue from where we stopped."

Forty-Four was currently in a similar situation as Five. The major difference was that instead of total darkness the room was fairly lit and instead of hanging upside down from the roof, he was on a chair with metal clamps keeping him in place.

Forty-Four found the situation ironic cause the chair was similar to the one they all first sat in when they arrived here.

"Why did you stay back, when they said we can leave?."

That was the question Five asked him one night, but he pretended to be sleeping and didn't hear him. But he heard him clearly, but was too ashamed to say he stayed behind because he thought there would be food shared later, and funny enough his stomach growled signifying that he was also hungry right now. But as usual, no food will be given at this moment, but possibly another session of unending pain.

Soon the door connecting to the room opened and a beautiful lady with nice curves came in. The blue military uniform she was wearing didn't do anything to hide her accentuated curves. She exuded charm, sexiness, and a gentleness that was not common with military women.

She walked gracefully and stood before FForty-four" I heard you've been a naughty boy." Her voice sounded very sweet with a sexual tone permeating from it.

"Not really, I've been on my best behavior since I was forcefully brought here." Forty-four joked, which made the lady smile softly.

"That's not what I heard. I was told you impressively hid yourself after becoming a Neo and also revealed your name, that's very naughty," she stated.

"I didn't exactly hide my power, I only got it when I was in the bathroom and not in the class or cafeteria like everyone else and how the hell did you people find out?" But that question doesn't need an answer cause he already suspected there was a camera in the room and probably not the bathroom cause they would have found out earlier then.

Not answering Forty-Four's question the lady asked hers "You know naughty boys get punished right?"

"They are also let go too".

"A funny one." She said with a smile on her face.

She then removed the military hand glove she was wearing on her right hand, revealing a hand that looked delicate and a little pale.

She slowly brought her index finger to Forty-Four's neck. Forty-four felt a cold sensation from the hand before realizing that he couldn't move a muscle not even his eyelids. The cold sensation he was feeling earlier immediately disappeared as if it never happened but instead, his body became very hot as if he was being cooked from inside. The pain now can almost be comparable to the one he felt when he first came here and once again instead of being served food, he was served a nice meal of pain.

His ability to scream has been taken away, he could only stay in that position with a pain no man can bear and sweat pouring out of his pores. Anyone who saw him will think he was simply enjoying the best service a sauna room can offer, but the way his pupils dilated and became larger was a testament to the pain he was experiencing. All this while the beautiful torturer had a sweet smile on her face.

Five didn't know how long he blacked out in that dark torture room, but the next thing he saw was waking up in a bright room, totally the opposite from where he was before. It took him four seconds to get his bearings. The first two seconds to realize he was on the bed in his allocated room and the next two seconds for the pains in his body to sink in.

There were faint burn marks on the part of his body where his punisher placed his hand to infuse electric currents into his body.

Five turned around to look at the bed opposite but as expected Forty Four was not there. Even if he knew this would happen, it still made him sad that once again he was all alone.
