COCKINESS GOES BEFORE A FALL

Five and Forty-Four continued their search for a good place to rest for the night as darkness slowly but surely encroached

So far they haven't encountered any other person, but that soon changed when they noticed a silhouette coming towards them from a distance.

The silhouette stopped and so did they.

Suddenly Forty-Four gasped and exclaimed, "Oh shit."

"You know him?" Five asked, a little surprised at his exclamation.

"Of course I do and his power as well."

"What's his pow..." Five was unable to complete his statement when the silhouette which was a little distance from them suddenly appeared much closer to them.

With a sarcastic voice, Forty-Four said "I believe that answers your question."

"Teleportation" Five quietly muttered.

With a mocking tone, the silhouette on blue camouflage said, "Can we get this all wrapped up I don't have all day."

With that, he suddenly appeared between Forty Four and Five who wasted no time in attacking the personal space intruder.

But before their attacks could connect, he already teleported away. Staring down, they saw a grenade on the ground.

Five and Forty-Four were quick enough to jump away to the opposite side, successfully avoiding the blast radius of the grenade, which was indicated by a sudden release of thick red smoke.

They still checked their emblems to confirm their status and they breathed a sigh of relief seeing the White peace emblems still on their clothes.

But the fight had just begun, as the teleportation power Neo, continued to appear before each of them to deliver an attack, but quickly teleported out of the way the moment he was in the receiving end of an attack.

As they all continued fighting Forty-Four shouted towards Five with a frustrated voice, "You got any ideas on how to kill this freak?"

"I should be asking you, his in your sector" Five replied with a similar frustration in his voice.

"I know that, but you are the smart one here so you must have an idea by now." Forty-four quipped back.

"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, but thanks for the compliment, and indeed I have some ideas already, have you ever seen him teleporting at night."

While blocking a kick coming for his head Forty-Four replied, "I don't think so."

" How sure are you?" Five asked again while dodging a punch to the head.

"Ninety percent sure"

Successfully landing an attack on the Neo torso before he disappeared again "What happened to the remaining ten percent?"

"I don't follow him to the bathroom" Forty-Four answers with a matter-of-fact tone.

They both realized that the Neo hadn't appeared again, but soon spotted him on top of a tree branch sitting down, "Sorry I didn't want to interrupt your little talks anymore, I'm intrigued by your talks" he pointed at Five and continued, "So tell us what impossible plan have you cooked up to defeat me"

Forty-Four was quick to reply instead after hearing the condescending tone of his voice, "Wow, you must be cocky you know, haven't you heard of the saying cockiness goes before a fall."

"...."

"I think Pride goes before a fall" Five corrected.

"Shhh don't ruin the moment again, you making me look bad now before this douchdouchebag he won't take me seriously again," Forty-Four said in a mock hurtful voice.

Chuckling out loud, the Neo said with a smirk on his face, "I've heard of that saying, but I'm not prideful I'm confident and it seems you are not confident with your plan right?"

Five looking at Forty-Four "...First plan, it seems he can only teleport to places he can see, so we delay this fight till nightfall, the second plan we exhaust his mental strength, and the third plan I will save it for later."

The Neo suddenly went silent before letting out a loud laugh, "Hahahaha, that's all you got genius, who said you would be alive before nightfall besides that my mental strength is not even close to its limit. "

With a cold smile on his face, Five replied, "You forgot about the third plan."

Hearing that the Neo teleported close to Five, but still kept a little distance making sure Five's hands couldn't him, "Oh yeah, what's the third plan?"

Five threw the dirt that he had hidden in his hands all this while into the Neo's eyes, who was not expecting that.

He still managed to teleport away, but was a little late cause most of the dirt managed to get into his eyes, as he appeared not far away shouting while trying to get rid of the sands in his eyes.

Unfortunately, he teleported a little too close to Forty Four, who wasted no time in diving to grab him which he succeeded by jumping on his back and wrapping himself around him.

"Cover his eyes" Five shouted.

Forty-Four immediately heeded it and pushed off the Neo's hands which he was using to remove the dirt from his eyes and replaced it with his own, creating a comical look of a blind piggyback ride, except the person being rode on wasn't happy about it in any way.

"Get off me"The Neo shouted with strong indignation laced in his voice.

Five walked towards them and slowly said to the Neo's hearing, "Indeed cockiness goes before a fall." He then used his two hands to hit both sides of his neck, which released a sudden pressure on his carotid arteries.

He immediately lost consciousness and fell face first on the ground, with ForForty-Fourill on his back.

Over at Eighty fight scene, it was more violent. One of the girls who had attacked Eighty had her leg broken while the other had her hand broken. They were both lying unconscious on the ground.

She looked in the direction of the Neo who helped her and saw that he already finished his fight as well, with his three attackers all in different places encased in ice statues or better still they were the ice statues.

The Neo slowly walked towards her with a kind smile on his face, which only succeeded in raising suspicion and caution in her heart as she clenched her fist ready for anything. Eighty already recognized him as been in her sector, but not as if they have ever talked before.

He stopped right in front of her and after a few awkward moments, he suddenly stretched out his hand for a handshake, "Hi, I'm Twenty."
