UNLUCKY

Daylight came sooner than later, as the dull morning sun started shining down.

"Come on let's go" Five tapped Forty Four, who woke up with a start.

"Go where" he muttered sleepily.

"Today's the third and last day remember genius?" Five asked rhetorically.

"Oh yes!" Forty-Four exclaimed and got up quickly, but a Sharp pain from his leg sent him falling back, "Aaaaah, damn this broken leg."

"Heal it then, you still got her DNA right?"

"Yes, my mental strength is still not at its best. But I have to heal you first remember I never finished it yesterday." Forty-Four reminded.

"Don't worry I'm okay now" Five replied.

"Are you sure about that? you were in pretty bad shape last night." Five questioned in a sceptical tone

"I know my body best, guess I was just too tired yesterday and overestimated my injuries."

"If you say so."

With that Forty Four proceeded to change his hands into that of Forty One and healed his leg which took a little toll on his body.

After sheathing his knife Five and Forty-Four started moving back to the direction of the cave, but on their way five made an exaggerated expression of remembering something, seeing it Forty-Four was forced to ask

"What?"

"I just remembered something"

"Your over-the-top expression already said that so what is it?" Forty-Four questioned again.

"I didn't get a chance to say this yesterday because of the moment, but please don't ever change yourself to a girl again is weird."

"...."

"I had to use the best solution for the situation, if I hadn't done that, I would have died more than five times in that fight, "Forty-Four said in a mock hurt voice.

"Justify it all you want, pervert"

"...."

"...."

They finally got to the cave and noticed that the two sisters were nowhere to be seen, Five proceeded to enter the cave and came back with the sniper rifle in his hands which he threw to Forty-Four and he slung it on his back.

Five checked his watch, which told me that the time was presently 9:48 am. He pressed the button on the watch showing the survivors' interface which was now 10 including them.

He looked at Forty-Four and saw him looking at the same survivor interface on his own watch.

Sighing out loud, "You know those eight people remaining are going to be far more difficult than anyone we have faced till now. " Five stated the obvious.

"I think that's the opposite actually, when I've we ever gotten it easy throughout this little exercise, from a fire-welding Neo, a sniper, a teleporter, a speedster, an ice freak, and two crazy powerful sisters." Forty-Four reasoned.

"Putting it like that I think you are right," Five said.

"No, after listing all that I think I'm wrong"

With a confused expression, Five asked, "What do you mean?"

"What's the chance that almost everyone we or you encounter is stronger, I think we, or specifically you is a load of bad luck."

"...."

"I won't waste time arguing with you, even if I'm bad luck I think I've used it up by now, today seems promising and bright." Five said, but as if to mock his statement a thunder was heard in the sky, looking up the sky was already darkening over signifying an impending rain.

He looked at Forty-Four, who made an I told you so face. Five sighed and looked at the compass of his watch before saying, "I think it's time to tell you who I'm saving the last bullet for"

"Who?"Forty-Four asked intrigued

*

An hour later they both could be seen running in the north direction as instructed to be done during the third day

"Are sure are you, he even survived till today?" Forty Four asked

"I'm 80% sure, knowing him he can do anything to win this, so I'm positive he'd still be around. "

"Well you've never been wrong so far"

Around 12:07 pm the rain started pouring with thunderstorms accompanying it. This made visibility a little difficult, but they continued running though their pace was reduced.

Suddenly Five who was at the front jumped back, with such sudden movement he hit Forty-Four who was right behind him and they both fell.

"Hey, what th..." Forty-Four stopped what he wanted to say when he saw the gash wound that had suddenly appeared on Five's chest.

"What is this?, How did you get this?" He questioned.

Five slowly got up and started looking around, "Is a knife wound"

"Who cut you?"

"Ahh" Five suddenly felt a sudden piercing pain sensation in his side, he quickly held down on the knife which he couldn't see, and punched the air with force revealing a male Neo falling from the punch.

Forty Four who was about to attack the Neo which just appeared out of thin air on the ground, suddenly stopped as he disappeared once again.

" I think I know him, his power is invincibility," Forty-Four told Five, who just nodded and pulled out the knife on his side.

"I think after getting stabbed, I already figured that out genius" Five said sarcastically as he put pressure on the stabbed area.

Forty-Four suddenly felt a kick on his gut and another one on his face which sent him somersaulting over.

Five threw the knife he pulled out forward which surprisingly stopped in the air and soon enough the reason why was revealed.

The invincible Neo appeared again with a knife embedded in his shoulder. As he tried to pull it out, Forty-Four dived him and they both fell, he pressed down on the knife and the Neo screamed in pain.

His screams were cut off by a powerful punch on his temple by Forty Four which disoriented him and made him dizzy, another punch in the same place finally knocked him out.

Forty-Fourur then got up and walked towards Five, "You see what I said, bad luck." His statement only elicited an eye roll from Five.

He bent down and once again changed his hands to Forty-One and started using her powers again to heal Five's knife wounds.

"How did you know where he was"Forty Four asked curiously as he healed Five.

"The rain helped, I noticed it wasn't dropping on the area and also little splashes on the ground presumably from walking, so you see I'm not that unlucky like you pinned on me," Five said with a smirk.

"I think you are," Forty-Four said while stopping the healing, "I can't heal you further than this, my mental strength is exhausted already"

Five looked at his wounds which had stopped bleeding and healed a little, but was still looking a little bad and knew the road just got rougher.
