SETTLEMENT

"Expect nothing, to avoid disappointment, & so everything given to you will come as a pleasant surprise"

The car glided smoothly onto the road, sandwiched between two others filled with Gabriel’s men, each vehicle moving in practiced formation. Inside, Wes settled back, his gaze shifting from the cityscape outside to his brother beside him. After a few moments of silence, Wes turned to Gabriel with a questioning look.

“So… what exactly happened with the Grecos? Why the need for a settlement?”

Gabriel hesitated, his expression guarded. He studied Wes for a moment, taking in the sharpness in his eyes, the maturity in his stance. This was no longer the young, naïve brother he had known. With a quiet sigh, Gabriel leaned forward, resting his arms on his knees as he spoke.
