In the early morning, someone threw a stone through the window.

Adrianna, Cornelius, Ryan and Darek were instantly awakened by the sound of glass clinking.

— That's what I thought...—Cornelius sighed, pulling out his weapon as he ran.

The glass rattled in the room they had put Lewis in so far.

The huge hole in the window and the glass scattered everywhere meant that the stone thrown here was huge, or it was someone who kicked out the glass.

There were no rocks in sight…

Darek listened and threw the knife very close to Adrianna's right ear.

Cornelius grimaced, glancing behind his beloved's back.

— Don't turn around. Get down!— He commanded.

A couple of quick shots and Adrianna heard something soft and slimy fall to the floor.

She turned around.

— Wow... deep-sea creature?—Adrianna said in surprise.

— No, it's not… Well... almost... these beauties used to live on Europa, and now they are in the world (in this world, not in the universe!) There are nine pieces in total.—Cornelius said.

— Eight.—Dariusz kicked the corpse of the creature.

— Where's the kid?—Ryan asked, who had been standing silently in the doorway all the time.

— I'm here!— It came from under the bed.

— There's almost no room under the bed, how did you get in there?—Ryan lay down on the floor to see Lewis.

— I don't know… I don't know! I saw this Nightmare Squidward, and then I didn't understand how I got here!—Lewis hit his head and whined something unintelligible.— And... I'm stuck... —.

— Nightmare... Squidward?—Ryan suppressed the urge to laugh.— We're going to get you out now.—

Ryan stood up and motioned Cornelius to stand on the side opposite the headboard.

— Can you lift the bed alone?—Ryan asked Cornelius.— If not, I'll help you, and Darek will pull Lewis out. —

— No, Darek with his hot temper would rather leave the little Briton without legs.—Cornelius chuckled.— The beds here are light, I brought them into the house myself alone.—

Cornelius lifted the bed high by the end part, while Ryan pulled on Lewis's legs.

The Briton screamed at the top of his brain, either out of fear or pain.

The glass in the second window, which had previously been lucky enough to survive, now shared the fate of its counterpart — it crumbled into pieces with a loud bang.

— Hey, man, you don't have to do that here! Don't be so scared! What are the glasses to blame for?—Ryan said.

Lewis was sitting on the floor, pouting resentfully and rubbing his ankle—apparently Ryan's overly strong hands had hurt him.

— And where is this one… OH MY GOD!!! Is the Nightmare Squidward dead?—The guy jumped on the spot.

— Don't worry, he's deader than dead. What happened anyway?—Cornelius asked as he and Darek tossed the alien creature into a large canvas bag.

— I wanted to ask you about it! I still couldn't sleep, and then, when I closed my eyes anyway, this guy flew in here… That... Squidward... he tried to grab me, but I flew through the bed like in a broken game!— The guy started chattering excitedly.

— Yes, how strange...—Dariusz snorted.— And how long has this been happening to you? —

— What's going on?—Lewis stared at him in surprise.— I get scared sometimes... always when I play on the computer.—

— Does this always happen?—Cornelius asked.

— No...—Lewis sighed and looked down.— Not often...— it was hard for him to reveal everything when the creepy black eyes of the Pole glared at him with such intense gaze.— The lights go out when I get scared. But... glass is very strange...—
