I sat while staring at the ceiling, realizing that books were slowly piling up on my desk. Initially, I only wanted to read one or two books, but suddenly I noticed that the stack of books on the desk had grown. And of course, I was too lazy to return them.
A few moments later, Charles suddenly entered this small library. He immediately paused when he saw the pile of books in front of me, but I looked away, not wanting to see the expression on the white-haired man’s face.
"I didn't expect you to be this diligent," Charles said as he sat down and placed several pieces of bread and a drink on the table.
"I'm just wasting time," I replied flatly.
"Then have you learned how to control your Beast?" Charles quickly sat down after arranging the food on the table.
When he said that, something long buried in my mind suddenly resurfaced. I glanced at Charles and said, "Before that, can you tell me about my father—things I don't know?"
"Why are you so eager to know?"
