CHAPTER 15: THE GIFT.
Mr Bishop arrived his estate with his convoy. His driver parked the car at the garage, as one of his men alighted hurriedly from the other car and opened the door for Mr Bishop.
Mr Bishop came down gently supporting the hat on his head with his left hand.
The men stationed at the entrance of the mansion bowed as he made his way through the main entrance, heading in.
"Welcome sir," Frank greeted, having awaited his return.
"How is my son?" Mr Bishop asked.
"He should be asleep sir," Frank replied.
Mr Bishop nodded his head once as he made his way to Justin's room.
He got to the room and opened the door slightly looking to see if Justin was awake.
Justin laid on the bed not yet asleep. Immediately he noticed the door opening slightly, he had a gut feeling that it was Mr Bishop, so he pretended to be asleep.
"I guess he's doing all right," Mr Bishop said inaudibly, sighing, as he saw he was asleep. He quietly shut the door, and headed to his study to get somethings done before resting for the day.
Noticing the door was shut, Justin sat up on his bed. "Where could he have gone by this time of the day all dressed up like this?"
Justin wondered, growing some level of suspicion about the man he had idolized for a long time. Since there was nothing he could do at the moment, he chose to stay calm.
He picked his phone, scrolling randomly through it since he wasn't really sleepy at the moment.
Shortly after, Gomez returned to the Estate as well. Alighting from the vehicle, he headed straight for the study, rightly assuming Mr Bishop would be there.
Getting to the entrance of the study, he pressed the button on the control panel by the door, and spoke into the mouth piece.
"Sir, it's Gomez. May I come in?"
Almost immediately, the door unlocked, granting Gomez access into the study. He bowed as he stood in front of his boss.
"You've done a great job," Mr Bishop commended.
"Thank you sir," Gomez responded, smiling slightly.
"You can rest for the day," Mr Bishop told Gomez rounding up what he was doing on his laptop.
"All right sir," Gomez responded as he bowed exiting the study.
He bumped into Frank around the living area. "Good, I will be resting in my room. Make sure things are in place."
"Yes sir," Frank responded bowing his head.
Gomez headed to his room, loosening his neck tie.
Frank remained in the living room, awaiting Mr Bishop's exit from the study as he sat on one the chairs.
Coming out of the study, Mr Bishop sighted Frank dosing off in the living room. "You can get some rest for today."
"Yes sir," Frank replied as he was startled by Mr Bishop's voice.
Mr Bishop headed to his master bedroom putting a call across.
"Hello sir," a voice from the other end. "Everything will be ready first thing tomorrow morning."
"Good," Mr Bishop responded ending the call.
_____
Justin grumbled struggling to get up from the bed as he heard a knock on the door.
"What time is it?" he asked opening his eyes slightly.
"It's Frank. Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes."
Justin sat up on his bed, picked his phone and saw it was already the next morning.
Mr Bishop was already prepared to head to the office. As usual, he first of all headed to the dining area, and sat down, ready to take his breakfast.
Shortly after, Justin joined him at the dining area.
"Good morning," he greeted Mr Bishop.
"Morning Justin. I trust you are well?" Mr Bishop asked.
Justin nodded his head having no interest in engaging in a conversation with Mr Bishop.
Mr Bishop's phone vibrated it was a text message. He looked into the phone as he saw, "All set sir."
Mr Bishop nodded in acknowledgement, as he rounded up his breakfast.
"I'll be right outside the house waiting for you. There is something I need to show you," Mr Bishop said, as he stood up, leaving the dining area.
Justin looked at him wondering what that could be.
Mr Bishop made his way through the living room as Gomez awaited him at the main entrance. He bowed as Mr Bishop approached him. Then they both headed outside the house.
As they got outside the main entrance, Justin was already right behind them. He left his breakfast, curious to know what it was. And he didn't want to keep Mr Bishop waiting.
"What is it you want to show me?" Justin asked Mr Bishop.
"Well, it's nothing much," Mr Bishop responded. He nodded at his men, and they took off the covering, revealing it was a Bugatti car.
"I figured every young man loves a luxurious car, so I got you one. Hope you like it?" Mr Bishop asked.
Justin's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly comported himself, reverting back to his pissed state. He went close and took a good look at the car.
"You got me a car?" Justin asked, seemingly unimpressed.
"Yeah," Mr Bishop responded, throwing him the car keys.
He caught the keys, and looked at it.
"Thank you," Justin causally appreciated Mr Bishop. "It must have cost you a fortune."
"It was nothing," Mr Bishop shrugged.
Gomez seeing that the car wasn't his as he thought, felt disappointed but couldn't show it.
Justin remotely opened the car and went into the car. He sat in the driver's seat, feeling the custom made leather used on the steering wheel and dashboard of the car.
He started the ignition with the push button, and pressed on the throttle. It gave out a very pleasing sound. This caused him to smile softly, shaking his head.
This very brand of car has been his dream car.
Mr Bishop smiled walking to his car as his men awaited him, heading to the office, leaving Justin with his new toy.
Gomez also walked to the SUV as they both drove to the office.
Having had a feel of the car, Justin turned off the ignition, exited the car, and headed to his room.
'Is he trying to gain some credit by buying me a car?' Justin voiced out his thought. 'He even knew my favorite car.'
Justin then heard a knock on the door, "Come in," he said.
