"Wait up, Eleanor," a familiar, forceful voice commanded.
Out of the shadows, Gaius Drazen emerged, his presence a surge of relief for Eleanor. She felt a renewed energy as she straightened up, her heart swelling with gratitude. With a steely gaze, Gaius took in the chaotic scene, his movements swift and decisive. He moved like a force of nature, effortlessly subduing the remaining threats. Eleanor watched in awe as he restored order, his leadership and strength unmistakable.
To their surprise, the leader of the rogue wolves had fled. Gaius' jaw set firmly, and his vision sharpened as he studied his surroundings. "He was just here, damn it!" he murmured, a rare curse word escaping him. Eleanor turned around quickly, her demeanor clearly annoyed. "How on earth did he get away that fast?" she inquired, her voice tinged with annoyance.
