UNBROKEN RESOLVE

Eleanor experienced the burden of her leadership to a greater extent than before. The continual doubt from the leaders of the pack served as a reminder of the delicate trust she needed to uphold. Walking through the camp, she watched her people. They displayed fear and uncertainty on their faces.

While Eleanor wandered through the camp, absorbed in her own thoughts, the individual who had appeared from the darkness came closer to her, his breathing heavy from running. It was Jarek, the ex-Shadow Council member, who switched sides to support them. His complexion was ashen, and his eyes were wide with a sense of immediacy.

"Eleanor," Jarek wheezed, attempting to regain his breath. "You must listen to this."

Eleanor's heart leaped in her chest. "What is happening, Jarek?"

The Shadow Council is plotting to provoke a conflict between the packs. "They are attempting to undermine us from the inside," Jarek said, his voice shaking with the seriousness of his statement.
