The sun hung low, casting long shadows over the abandoned school bus perched precariously in the center of the street. Its faded yellow paint was smeared with blood and grime, while its windows, once a shield for children, were now barricades for survival. On its roof stood Captain Marcus Kane, shotgun in hand, scanning the approaching chaos. Around him, the rest of the ZETU team prepared for the inevitable storm.
“This isn’t just another horde,” Ethan "Brain" O’Connor said, his tablet flickering as he monitored the drone feed. “They’re smarter this time—more coordinated.”
Riley “Quick Shot” Bennett had already taken position, her sniper rifle aimed down at the teeming mass of undead surging down Main Street. “I’ve got twenty confirmed headshots left in me,” she said, her voice steely. “After that, it’s whatever I can scrounge.”
Marcus slammed a fist into the roof of the bus. “We hold the line here. No evac unless we keep this position. Jenna, get ready with the fireworks.”
