Story 666: No Mercy Left

The air reeked of decay. Blood pooled in the cracks of shattered pavement as the distant echoes of gunfire faded into the night. General Viktor "Bloodfang" Kruger stood amidst the wreckage of yet another fallen resistance stronghold, his expression void of emotion. The rebels had fought hard, but it had been in vain—like all the others before them.

Behind him, the moans of the undead mingled with the crackling of flames. His reanimated soldiers stood motionless, awaiting his next command, their rotting faces frozen in eternal servitude. Among them, a fresh wave of infected corpses twitched, their bodies adjusting to their new existence.

Kruger wiped the blood from his combat knife, his crimson beret untouched by the filth surrounding him. Another mission, another victory. He holstered the blade, turning toward the towering figure approaching him—Baron "Grave Titan" Kane.
