Story 864: Apex Predator

The Titan’s claws dug into the crumbling overpass, sending chunks of concrete raining down. The survivors barely had time to react as the monstrosity pulled itself up, its glistening muscles expanding, veins bulging with unnatural strength.

Evelyn’s heart pounded. They were out of time.

“Move!” Reaper barked, shoving Lucas forward.

The Titan lunged, its grotesque tongue whipping through the air, slicing through a rusted car like it was paper. Mia barely dodged, rolling under the wreckage as the overpass tilted dangerously.

Leon unsheathed his machete, eyes locked on the Titan. “We can’t outrun this thing forever.”

“No,” Evelyn muttered, glancing at the half-collapsed buildings nearby. “But we can bury it.”

Lucas caught on first. “You want to bring the whole damn overpass down?”

“Exactly.”

Reaper grinned. “Now that’s a plan.”
