INT. SAFE ZONE COMPOUND – BASEMENT LEVEL – NIGHT
The so-called “safe zone” had turned into a prison. Lena, Briggs, Dr. Rho, and the Girl were escorted through gray hallways lit by flickering fluorescent bulbs. The guards—silent, armored, and unmarked—marched them to an elevator that descended too deep for comfort.
DR. RHO (muttering):
“They’re not Harbingers. Not military either. But they know about her…”
Lena kept a tight grip on the girl’s hand. The girl’s silence said more than words.
INT. BASEMENT – HOLDING BLOCK
The door opened to reveal rows of metal doors on either side—some shut tight, others wide open. Dried blood painted the floor in handprint streaks. The air reeked of iron and decay.
A woman in a lab coat met them. Her badge read Dr. Sylene Mavik.
DR. MAVIK:
“She’s contaminated. But she’s also… miraculous. We’ve only seen one like her before. Subject Theta.”
BRIGGS (snarling):
“We didn’t bring her for experiments.”
