Daddy bear

One month later:

“Ace, you can’t let me win all the time, I have to learn to beat these levels myself,” I tell him as we play video games on the couch.

He laughs shaking his head.

“You’re not going to believe this, but you really are beating me.” He admits and I grin at him in victory.

We’re playing need for speed, and suddenly memories start to come back to me.

“I miss your blue sport bike Ace, whatever happened to it?”

He sighs and pauses the game.

“It’s totaled, probably still at the junkyard.”

I gasp and look at him confused.

“What do you mean totaled? Were you in an accident?”

He nods looking upset.

“When?”

“About a week after I broke up with you. I was riding the bike down the road when someone hit the side of my bike with a Camaro. I jumped off the bike and landed into an open field right before the bike wrapped around a tree.”

I hold on to his hands concerned.

“Who hit you?”
