Candlelight dinner.

Ariel had thought it to be a normal date. Probably a sad one because her 'boyfriend' would be leaving to school.

She really didn't think Daniel would put in effort to make this date a special one.

She walked into the room with her jaw agape.

It was like he had put in the imagination of the writer of the perfect date Nelly and Tyler had.

Although, their love story was shitty at the ending, it was indeed a beautiful one at the beginning.

She had remembered he asked her one of the perfect dates from the novels she had read and she had picked one of the special dates from the novel 'His Nemesis'. She never would have imagine he had such a plan...

It was a candlelight dinner.

She had never had one before but she had read about some candlelight dates in novels.

She looked at the table where few candles where placed.

She could perceive the faint scent of lavender which managed to create a romantic atmosphere.

She noticed the petals scattered around the room and a flower on the middle of the table.

She looked up at him to meet his ever charming smile.

She immediately felt warm thinking about how much effort he had put into bringing the imagination of an author to life.

The only difference was that Tyler and Nelly meal was at the rooftop and not a restaurant.

All the same, her heart couldn't help but Summersault at the thought of her sharing a candlelight dinner with Daniel.

"What do you think?" Daniel asked Ariel when she wasn't moving or saying anything.

"You didn't have to." Was the simple reply she could come up with.

She felt her throat go dry as she looked directly into his brown eyes.

That eyes...

It never seemed to stop captivating her.

"I just thought of doing something sweet for you before returning to school." He explained.

"Do you love it?" He added, while using his thumb to careless her face.

"I do." Came Ariel dry reply.

He could tell she was stunned by his little surprise.

If he were to be honest with her right now, he really didn't put in any effort into this arrangement. He just had to give out orders and everything was done.

But he wasn't about to tell her was he?

Nahh... That would be dumb of him. After all, he loved the flustered look on her face and he knew so well that his little gesture was going to have her wrapped around his fingers like he wanted.

Smiling at his selfish thoughts, he took her hand and led her to the table like the 'gentleman' he was.

He pulled out a chair for her before taking his seat.

"Menu, please." Ariel asked as she wanted to order.

"You don't need a menu princess." Daniel stated

"Huh? Why?"

Before Daniel could clear her confusion, there was a knock on the door and after affirmation the waiters came in one after the other.

'What was going on?' Ariel screamed in her mind as she watched the waiters come in one after another with many trays like they were about to feed pigs.

"Daniel?"

"Yes baby?"

"What's going on?" She asked, eyeing the waiters suspiciously as there dropped different dishes and desserts on the table.

"Nothing much. Just waiters doing their job." Daniel replied, playing stupid.

"You ordered all this? Why did you order so much? I know i told you I love food but that doesn't mean am a pig." Ariel complained as she looked over at the mouth watering dishes in front if her.

Although, she wanted to keep scolding Daniel, her mouth had betrayed her as it had decided to side with her nose which had perceived earth shattering aromas.

"We don't have to eat everything Ariel."

"I know but..."

"But nothing. Let's dig in."

Ariel looked over at the dishes and didn't know where to begin.

Should she start from the sea food? Or steaks?

She should probably go for the bruschetta first.

"Just pick randomly." Breaking her from her thoughts came Daniel's crisp voice.

"Sure." She replied shyly as she began eating.

The dinner went smoothly as Daniel and Ariel made small talks during the meal.

The environment was romantic and she had enjoyed the meal.

She was flattered by the fact that Daniel still remembered she loved sweet dessert and had ordered varieties for her.

She had chocolate lava cake, banana pudding, brownies and so much more.

She just made sure to have little of everything.

Now she sat up with a bulging belly as she looked over at the left over she couldn't finish.

Were all this delicious meal about to waste?

"I could have some dishes packed up for you." Daniel said as he had watched her stare at the food for too long.

Pausing her lips, she didn't want to walk home with another load as the one in her belly was already enough.

"No thanks."

"A late night walk to digest your meal my lady?" Daniel asked while stretching forth his hands.

"Sure my lord." She played along.

Once again, there were back to the streets there had once been during their first date.

Nothing changed. The town was still busy, the breeze was still blowing and the crickets were still at work.

But something did change.

Her feelings for him. It was definitely more stronger than the last time there had walked on this same street.

She was uncertain about how she felt back then but now she was certain.

She looked up at his ever captivating eyes as she wandered what made her fall for this guy.

What was it about him that broke her rigid walls?

She was curious. She had remembered having a strong resolve not to have anything to do with guys hours before there date.

But like a spell, like a wave of a magic wand, all her resolve were broken immediately she stared at his eyes.

Those brown eyes....

What had they done to her?

Why were the sucking her into it's deep holes?

"Ariel." Daniel called

"Yes?"

"I'd miss this."

"Me too."

"I may get busy at school though."

"That's okay. My entrance exams are also coming."

"For college?"

"Yeah, they'd have this exam before picking candidates."

"What if you don't pass?"

"Why won't I?" Ariel asked raising her brow.

"I didn't mean it that way. Of course you would pass. I was just curious to know what will happen to those who couldn't make it."

"Well, they won't get in then. So i have to study hard."

"Make me proud baby." He said pecking her cheeks making her go red.
