After his death, I returned home and started thinking about the things he told to me. The internet facility is restored and I went surfing on Google about the details of the hotel business. I saw that it is a profitable business.
As we all know food is a major thing in the life of every individual. It is the only thing that individuals say is enough. Other things in life we do not say it is enough and satisfactory. I also felt that this is the sector where people are hired, and it is the largest employment-providing sector.
I finally got the idea to do something by myself. I decided to start a restaurant business after the lockdown. The lockdown is removed in some places. Slowly life is coming to normal. But some sectors like schools, colleges, restaurants parlors malls, gyms, etc. are still closed.
After two weeks of the restrictions, Ankit Kaka's son came to me. I remember the keys given to him. I take them and give them to his son. I asked here is the last property left by your father, keep them safe and try to do something to do with it.
He has not taken the keys. He told me that today he came to me to speak about a business deal. I asked what kind of business deal. He opened his laptop and showed me a plan for a restaurant. He is working at Accenture as a project designer.
Before his father's death, he told about the renovation of the shop so that he gets good customers, his dad put all his savings into a bank, and not allowing him to renovate the shop. I fought with him regarding this with his dad.
In the end, he becomes angry and went out. His dad did not come home for three days. We are searching for him. He is so adamant and thought that, if he renovates the shop no one is going to come. I thought some people don't want to change their lifestyle. After finishing his story, he showed me the design of the restaurant.
It is a perfect design and within my budget. He is a very talented young boy. He planned the design systematically. He told me that I only have to invest 30 % of the total fund and he wants to include his wife with 20% of the amount and he will take care of the rest.
I asked him why you have to choose me. He told me that, my dad trust you more than me. He wants you to include in the business. Here I can only trust you, hence I have chosen you. The deal is fixed. We renovate the place and in one year I earned enough money we opened one more branch Ankit handover the branch to me and I removed myself from his partnership.
I named the hotel MOUNT PLAZA. As the new year, we are started getting more customers, the tourism sector started attracting new tourists and my business is going well. In this way, by January 2022 life is returning to normal.
As the days passed, I started earning in small amounts. At the beginning of the year, I earned not much. I have done so much research on the things like flavors and desserts. It is winter so the tourism sector is not started. We started the business by giving free water, tea, coffee, some hot chocolates, and 2 minutes of Maggi noodles to the truck drivers for a month.
We have also given these items to the pilgrims who visit Kashi Shiva temple. In the first six months, we have not earned much due to fewer tourists. I started researching the surroundings that which hotel is serving what kind of dishes.
My partner Ankith is supporting me online. After all, he cannot have time to visit because his mother is also ill and he can't let his wife take care alone, but he is promoting the restaurant through different social media and his contacts.
We have not completed the construction fully because due to continuous snowfall, the people cannot come and work. We anyhow completed a small part of the construction and we made a tea stall with a glass screen and a stove to make tea and coffee and snacks.
On the other side of the restaurant, we put a bench and some ready-to-eat snacks so that if someone wants something we can give them. I put some benches so that people can sit take a rest and move ahead towards the work.
We bought one small refrigerator so that the dairy products cannot damage. In this cold it is not required but, after that summer season will approach and dairy products cannot be out for a long time, and vegetables and fruits are also damaged.
My children and Arundhathi sometimes come and see me after their school. She helps me in making tea and distributes snacks. I have one clinic near my shop and also a first aid box and some common medicine is kept inside the box.
The days are going normally. After one month of free distribution, we started charging a minimum of ten rupees for tea and we started making different tea types, like lemon tea, black tea, green tea, and milk tea. Charges are according to the demand of people. Slowly and gradually we increased the flavors of tea and coffee. In two months we started earning well. As winter is fading summer is approaching and the construction work is progressing.
The pilgrimage and tourism are increasing. One day when I am closing the stall I saw a weak and poor man behind me," He came to me and said, I am a pilgrimage and cannot go further I am very tired can you make me some tea, and give me a place to rest outside the stall.
In the beginning, I have not believed him. But looking at his face and the cold and snowfall is strong. I felt pity for him. I reopened the shop, gave him water, and made him tea. I asked him where you are coming from.
He said in a shaking voice. I came here to fulfill my dad's wish of visiting the Kaashi, and also want to earn my living. After drinking tea, he gave me fifty rupees. I told him the tea cost only ten rupees, to keep the change. I don't understand why he does like that. Some Hindu beliefs state this kind of thing. They say that if the lucky hand gives you something you should take it that will lead to prosperity and good things. Maybe this will be a lucky thing
He said he don't want the change. I should keep the money in the drawer so that my earnings will grow fast. I don't believe in this kind of superstition. He requested that I kept twenty rupees and retuned the balanced amount. I told him to sleep inside the storeroom but he insisted on sleeping in the shed behind the stall. I have given him some warm clothes and a quilt and left to house.
So my friends don't forget to comment and like the works. Who is the person? Why he came here? What does he do? What is his motive behind all this? Just see it in the next chapters. You can join my fan club and get chances to chat directly with me.
