Awakening: Prison Realm

"Give up now or loose your life while watching the Prism shatter with your Master trapped inside."

__

A voice, a female's voice, 'I can't be hallucinating right?' Zayde thought, still with his eyes closed.

It was undeniable that the environment around him felt different, the cold soothing air that surrounded him coupled with the smooth feeling of glass on his palms and feets.

"Why would I give up when I haven't taken revenge for my master? You have no idea what he will do to you when he is free, heck you won't even live to see him escape."

Another voice, but it sounded different, calmer and calculated unlike the first, with traces of contempt in her voice. Curiosity clouded his thoughts almost immediately, then he asked himself multiple questions.

'I should be dead right about now,'

'I hope those bastards did not chicken out and bring me out of there,'

'What if... It can't be possible!'

Zayde's eyes snapped open, his pupils barely visible, covered by a thin fog like colour. He found himself in a city very different from the one he was familiar with. It was in ruins, building in crumbles and torn apart, a massive expanse of dark cloud covered the land with darkness except for the faint lights provided by the few poles and still standing buildings.

The sound of swords colliding caught his attention, he quickly turned to where the voice was and saw a girl, Cladded in black with a dark mane that was disheveled, from where he was he noticed her crimson red eyes, glowing fiercely as she fought with a dark figure that he knew, had the Robotic like female voice.

However, what caught his attention was the fact he trapped behind a wall of glass–maybe not glass, but was a clear see through wall, with dark glittery look and when his fingers touched it, it made the glass or whatever liquid it was move in all directions and even oscillate up and down, forming ripples.

He withdrew his hands with wide eyes, pushed the liquid wall hoping to pass through yet nothing happened. Like he was trapped in a water prison.

'This must be a dream,' He thought taking his eyes back to the duo that fought relentlessly but with swift and quick movements. The girl, who was clearly not human fought flawlessly, weaving the sword like the professional Katana Users he saw he movies and games.

She passed the silver metal into the skull of the figure and smiled before opening her mouth to say something.

"Ignite!"

It came as an echo even with how calm her voice was, causing the walls of the glass prison he was inside, to vibrate. His eyes widened and gleamed with curiosity, the urge to have such power rose in him like a flame, but that was not the end..

The dark figure froze in it's struggle to pull itself away from the girl, She twisted the sword and pushed it deeper into the skull, not minding the amount of dark thick blood that flowed out of it's body. Just then the body caught fire, a blood red flame that came as a flash burnt it to ashes immediately and then vanished along with the body. All that was left was a green sparkling dust that vanished as well.

She heaved a sigh of relief, her chest rising and falling with every breath she took. She released the sword in her hand, letting it collide with the ground and release a high ringing sound, that once again had a effect on the prison Zayde was.

She turned around and walked over to where Zayde was, then crouched down beside him. "I will free you master, one way or another,"

"I appreciate it but why am I in here and who are you?"

"M..master?" She stuttered, her eyes slowly widening to the size of a tomato, she picked up the prism careful and brought it close to her face, as she did she could not hide her joy. "You're finally awake!" She exclaimed and bowed slightly holding out the Prism.

Zayde however remained Unfazed, he was shocked but refused to let his emotions show, he still had no idea who she was or why she calls him master.

"Who are you?" He inquired, choosing his word and watching her expressions carefully. If there was one thing he noticed was the sudden glint of disbelief in her eyes, her eyes widened slightly darting away for a moment before turning to him.

"I-I'm Ravena, Raven Crimson" she stuttered, her voice barely above a whisper. "You should remember me, you were only unconscious for a decade," Her eyes were filled with sadness, brows curved in worry. "You can't possibly forget me," she added, desperation laced in her voice.

Zayde stared at her blankly wondering who or maybe what, was once in the so called 'Prison', that she would be so desperate to serve,

'Maybe her boyfriend?' he thought, pushing his fingers into his hair, brushing away the strands that fell on his forehead.

"It can't be someone she loves, Probably someone who bought her," he added, thinking aloud this time, when he had realized it his brows curved to a frown and his eyes landed on her face, only to find out she was already crying.

'Seriously, a cry baby?.... the universe decided to punish me with a cry baby,' Irritation kicked in almost immediately, he cared less about where he was or anything related to his being trapped in a glass box or about her. What he wanted to know was if he was in anyway related to Ravena.

"Y..you released me from the hands of the Hyperion Empire centuries ago and I have been fighting by your side ever since," Tears flowed freely as she spoke, her body shaking with silent sobs.

Zayde's eyes slowly softened much to his displease, she seemed familiar but he couldn't recall seeing anyone like her-talk more about the world he mysteriously found himself him. Heaving a sigh he pinched his nose bridge and said, "Alright stop crying, I will explain everything after you can change your clothes, you look terrible,"

Ravena sniffled, her eyes glossy and even more beautiful than he had imagined, for a moment all he wanted was make her look like that to the point she would beg for more or probably beg him to have mercy.

The color of red made him feel things he would never exchange even for long life or wealth, The only thing that keeps him sane–insane is the word but anyways.

'Shit..' he cussed and covered his face with his cold palms, 'I'm overthinking things.'

He raised his head and realized she was still staring at him through the glass, her gaze never moved from him, with traces of curiosity and relief in them.

"Ravena, right?" She gave a small nod, "I have a home right?" she nodded again, "Good take me home and tell me everything that happened before I went unconscious."

"Alright Master," Her eyes moved away from him, scanning around the run down city.

A thick Fog had already began moving towards them, causing Ravena's stomach hurt with anxiety. She held the prism to her chest, unaware of the view Zayde got from his side- but he ignored it.

She walked farther away from the fog and into a dark wet alley, where bones and blood littered the ground, the blood formed roots that were buried into the ground or probably just stained roots. She stopped before a door, not exactly what one would call a door, since it had no knobs or hinges, she clutched the prism tight and walked right into the door.

'Threshold Gate' Zayde uttered in disbelief, watching with curiosity as she moved passed thousands of similar doors that floated in the void.

Then she paused before a massive mirror that stood at the end of the halls of Threshold gates, she walked right though and appeared in a living room.

It would have been completely dark if not for little dimmed red light from the chandelier hung above.

"Okay this is Heaven," He exclaimed, feeding his eyes with the beautiful interior design of the living room. The grey furnitures, black tiles with splashes of white paint on it, giving a dark stary sky view.

The floor to ceiling window that gave a view of the city far ahead not in shambles but Zayde could tell it wouldn't take long before it would fall.

"Who else lives here?" He turned to her, satisfied with the scenery, he hated that he looked like a kid and always had to took up at her and he felt cramped up in a box.

"No one, just both of us," Ravena answered, placing him on a black marble desk at the center of the room. She stepped back and went down on her knees after taking off the steel bracelets around her hands.

'I wonder must have happened between us...I mean her master and herself while alone here, I bet it's something nasty, knowing how masters treated their slaves,' He thought and sighed.

"Ravena, you look exhausted, take a bath and get something to eat then we talk, alright?"

"Yes master," She bowed and rose to her Feets, she bowed again causing Zayde to frown deeply, the she left the living room and disappeared through the doors leading the the bedroom hall.

"I might as well think of ways to break out of this thing before thinking of what to do with her."
