First Attempt Of Ambush

'The era of my downfall, does that mean I will be defeated?' Zayde asked, curiosity washing over him as he thought of what Lord Shadow had said, he heaved a sigh and closed his eyes.

Opening it up to see the ceiling of his bedroom, he groaned and raised himself up, feeling a slight pang of pain in his head. A frown appeared on his face the moment he a metallic, sweet and sour taste of blood.

'This is weird,' he said as he licked his lips, tasting the warm liquid that stained his lips. 'Very weird,' he added and got out of bed, swaying forward and back as he tried to balance himself since he was dizzy.

He hurried out of his room worry and confusion replacing his curiosities, he made his way down the few stairs and into the kitchen where he found Ravena reading and cooking.

"Rave," He called in relief, his tone low and calm as he saw she was fine. He raised his head to see Ravena staring at him with a lollipop in her mouth.

"Master, is everything alright?" She asked, putting down the book she was reading beside the plates. "Uhm, how do you feel, master?"

Zayde sighed and made his way to the seat beside her, accessing her from head to toe, his eyes roaming over her neck mostly, looking for a bite mark of sorts.

"Did you.. Uhm did I perhaps..bite you while unconscious?" He asked, pausing and stuttering between his sentences, he watched her expression change from worry to embarrassment then he sighed.

"Sorry about that."

"Don't apologize master, I actually gave you myself," She answered and raised her right hand that was wrapped thickly with a bandage.

"Rave."

"I Know I was not supposed to do it, but you were loosing alot of health points and, I didn't want Arya to give you her blood instead," she said in one breath, trailing off at the lasted sentence.

"Rave," He said, stretching out his hand to pick up what she was reading, he raised his gaze up at her and smiled, "Thank you. But you should not always give blood, food exists for a reason."

"I understand, master" she gave a short bow, feeling happy inside that he was alive at least, but physically she was in pain. "Arya went out with Ash to visit a friend of hers, Do you want to wait for him before we have dinner, or start without him?"

"I can't wait for him, Backup to the friend part, who exactly is this friend of hers?"

"She didn't say, She only said she was going to meet a group of friends regarding a certain blood shower," Ravena replied as she stirred the contents in the pot on the burner.

"You talk about Arya like she is an enemy, Did she do anything wrong?"

"She tried to take you, that's what she did," She mumbled out loud raising her hands to her mouth rapidly, her cheeks darkened slowly when she realized how he looked at her. "I meant to say, she has an aura that reminds me of someone."

Zayde smirked and leaned on one of his hands that he rested on the counter, "Someone is territorial and jealous. I believe both, but I like the first reason better. It makes me understand why he made you his,"

He gestured that she came closer, his eyes lingering on the ruby made with the choker around her neck. When she did, he held the chains dangling off it, like another necklace and tugged at it, earning a small groan from her.

"Who gave you this?" He asked after inspecting it enough, "It's him, right?" He added before she could even answer and she nodded. "Well, I have come to accept that you are mine, so," he paused, reaching into his pocket to take out what he had picked up from a store before he arrived.

"Take it off."

"I can't, it keeps my form balanced, like the one around your neck," she quickly answered, covering his neck like he was trying to slice it.

Zayde chuckled softly, taking out a similar style choker but with a dark red gem, different from the the bright red one. He raised her on the counter, moved his seat between her thighs and carefully snapped the choker off of her neck.

Her form instantly changed, her dark hair turning white with a shade of silver at the base, her eyes became silver with a slight red fade, five tentacles shot out of her back and into the air, causing Zayde's eyes to widen.

"The red and white combination still remains the best, Rave, Now let's see if this could balance it," He uttered and placed his choker around her neck, adjusting it to be sure it was comfortable and luckily it worked, changing her back to her normal form.

Zayde smirked, proud of his handiwork, he leaned in, enjoying how she reacted to him, her sudden racing heart and how her cheeks darkened. Inches away from her lips, Ash's voice from the door, interrupted them, earning a frown from Zayde.

"Zayde, Raven, we have a problem," Ash said as he hurried into the kitchen, his eyes lingering on them for a second before taking out a plasma gun from the freezer. "You both can pause what ever you are doing because we have ten Hyperion soldiers waiting outside for their beloved Shadow Lord and their leader's chef."

"You can't be serious," Zayde said, bringing Ravena to the ground, once Ash nodded, he sighed and reached into the holsters around Ravena's thigh, taking out twin daggers.

"Switch back Rave, Squeeze the life out of those bastards if anyone of them gets close to you, got it," she nodded and tapped on the gem, her form changing instantly with a few of her tentacles sprawled out around her.

"Am I permitted to switch too?" Ash asked with an innocent smile displayed on his face, Zayde knew what lied behind that smile, but he did not have a choice but to let him do as he pleased. "Alright let's go.." before he could finish his sentence, the roof off the house blew off, earning a frustrated groan from Zayde.

"Don't they know how expensive that is, That thing would cost millions," He uttered, gesturing at the roofless top of the house.

"Money will never be our problem if we deliver you to him, Shadow Lord," A voice came up from behind them, one he would never forget even if he tried.

He turned around, doubting his thoughts but there she stood wearing the same outfit she wore the first time he saw her. "What exactly is wrong with this stupid World, Universe have you stopped listening to me? Why the hell is she still alive?"

"Because I can't die," She replied raising her sword in the air, "I failed because I came solo, this time I ambush you with more soldiers, there is no way you will defeat me."

"We shall see about that," Zayde smirked and turned to Ash and Ravena, "I guess I have to switch too, right?"

"Yes!" Ravena and Ash both said in unison, taking a stance to attack once given command.

"Alright, Let's go!"
