"I like the stars," Alessia whispered as she looked up while they walked.

"I can tell," he responded.

"They're very beautiful, right?"

"Yes, they are."

"My mom is up there, too. She sold me that tale, and I couldn't help but buy it. I needed it more than anything else back in the days. I still need it now, too."

"What was your childhood like?" Xavier asked.

Though he knew everything about her, he still listened with rapt attention. She spoke at length about her childhood, memories only she could know about. He listened as she prattled on excitedly. The wine made her more bubbly and energetic; she was jumping and clapping as she spoke.

After a while of talking, she threw back the question at him. "So, what was your own childhood like?"
