Meeting the prince

~ Assemble hall

 All eyes were focused on Annie and Linda when they arrived, everyone looked at them like dead meat.

 They actually dared to come late to the prince's resumption greetings. They also gave an extra stare to Linda because of the bruises on her.

 Annie and Linda tried to sneak in and join with the crowd, they tiptoed around like a thief.

 " Such audacity! " a voice thundered, stopping them in their tracks.

 Annie swallowed the sudden lump in her throat while starting to shake in fear.

 " Raise your head up! " the voice quipped again.

 Annie was the first to obey, followed by Linda. As soon as Annie raised her head up, she was met with those pair of menacing eyes.

 Dark eyes with a tint of volcanic red, they stared at her angrily, sending shivers down her spine.

 However, she didn't bother to look away, she was trapped into those gaze, they continued to draw her in.

 " On your knees! " the voice said loudly.

 Linda immediately kneeled, her head lowered but Annie still stood, she didn't bother kneeling at all.

 She was still staring at those eyes, those breathtaking devilish eyes.

 " Bang! " a steel pipe hit her on her legs, making her fall directly on her knees.

 " Ahh! " she wimped in pain, letting out soft groans, her eyes closed and distorted.

 " You're so audacious, you actually dared to look the prince in the eyes " the voice said.

 Annie opened her eyes and looked at the man that was talking, he seemed to be the prince's right hand man.

 Her eyes darted through the whole assemble hall, everyone was so damn serious. No one dared to laugh, some were just giggling secretly.

 This however brought out a question in her mind, ' Just how rich is this prince that no one dared to play with him? '

 " Don't you know that the prince has resumed? yet you didn't come to offer your appraisal, you dared come late to his welcoming hall " the man said.

 Linda raised her head up and glared at the man, that stupid man just continued to fan the fire.

 " They are freshers, Prince Zayan won't be hard on them right? " a calm voice asked, echoing through the whole hall.

 Everyone turned their attention toward the entrance, that's the place where the voice came from.

 Everyone looked at the entrance with curiosity written all over their faces.

 Who dared to come late to the assemble hall and also try to bail out the latecomers?

 Just then, a young man came in elegantly. He was dressed in one of the most expensive clothes money could buy.

 His hair was styled perfectly to the back, as he walked in with his hand in his pocket, a lollipop hung at the side of his mouth.

 " Zayn, what are you doing here? " the man said.

 " What can't I do here? of course, I'm resuming " Zayn replied, twirling the lollipop in his mouth.

 " you ain't interested in school before, what's going on? " the man asked, his voice lowered.

 " I mean, I heard my brother is called prince here and is treated like one. If I also resumed, I'll be second prince and I'll be able to escape father's nagging " Zayn replied.

 " But you didn't write the entry exam? Who said you are allowed in? " the man asked.

 " Who said I'm not allowed in? We are the richest family in the world, we literally created this school, do I still need to write an exam before I resume? " he rolled his eyes.

 His words cleared everyone's questions. So they were brothers.

 The man looked at Zayan, asking him what to do.

 " Securities! " was the next thing Zayan said.

 Several huge armed men rushed inside, they all bowed their heads to Zayan.

 " Humble the second prince " Zayan said, particularly putting more stress on the second prince.

 The armed men walked toward Zayn.

 " Stop right there! stop!.. brother…. let's talk this out, okay? I'll write the exam, just let me stay and watch you " he hurriedly tried to compromise.

 " And those girls, I saw their pictures in the freshers' registration, they didn't know the rules! " he yelled, letting out a fake baby cry.

 Zayan nodded to the security to drag him out. Without wasting another minute, the security guards dragged him by both arms out of the hall.

 Zayan turned to Annie and Linda, " Get up " he said.

 Linda stood up and helped Annie up, they've already wounded her knees.

 " Won't you pay for the damages? " Linda voiced out.

 Her voice echoed through the hall, leaving behind the continued gasp of surprised students.

 " Damages? " he narrowed his gaze.

 " You didn't stop it when your butler or your servant hit Annie on her leg, so I believed that you've got enough money to pay for the damages done to her leg " Linda replied.

 " I loved this change in action, just now, she's the bold one and you're the timid one and now, it's the other way round " he laughed.

 " Don't worry, I won't be a bad prince " he said and turned to the man.

 " Send her to my personal clinic in the school, tell the nurse to take extra care of her, " he said.

 The man nodded and told the maids behind him. They walked toward Annie and helped her out of the hall.

 Linda sighed, she looked at the rows of students as she walked toward one of it.

 " Stop! " Zayan's voice called loudly, making her halt in her steps.

 " We ain't done with our conversation, I like your personality " he said.

 Linda however, just scoffed.

" Meet me in my room before the time clocks eight " he said.

 Linda was about to talk but he didn't bother listening, he turned around and left.

 ~ Prince's chamber

Zayan entered his room, he walked directly toward the king size bed at the center of the room.

 Taking a deep breath, he slammed himself hard on the bed.

 He turned around and slept on his back, looking at the exquisite ceiling.

 A beaming smile appeared on his face as his thoughts darted toward the scenes at the assemble hall.

 " Interesting, " he smiled.

Just then, a knock sounded on the door, interrupting his thoughts. He slowly stood up from the bed and walked toward the door.

 He opened the door and saw Linda there.

 A smile crawled up to his face, " i said by eight "

 " I can't come by eight, the girls ' hostel would be closed so I decided to come now since I'm visiting Annie anyway " she replied.

 " It's all for the better, come inside " a more radiant smile flashed on his face.

 Linda looked at him suspiciously, she doesn't want to enter a man's room. Especially all these rich kids' rooms but she doesn't have a choice.

 She reluctantly entered.
