Fauzana

"It's nothing, ma'am, just saying hello." Mrs. Hasnah shook her head, because she knew exactly how her son sometimes acted unclearly.

"I wonder what's wrong. Oh yeah, have you had lunch?" Doddy shook his head.

"Why? Don't you like what Mom cooked today?" Mrs. Hasnah asked then sat next to her son in a row of chairs on the terrace of her house.

"No ma'am, I'm just not hungry yet. Oh yes ma'am, is it really unusual for Anisa to bring her friend home? "Usually on Sundays he's rarely at home, if he doesn't go for a walk, he goes to his friend's place." Doddy answered while glancing at the living room which was located behind the terrace of the house.

"Oh, that's Fauzana, Mrs. Fitria's daughter. "He often comes here, you never see him because you're busy wandering around or you're still sleeping in your room." said Mrs. Hasnah.

Doddy glanced back into the living room, where he saw Fauzana busy chatting with her sister.

"Fauzana is in the same office as your sister, she is also a civil servant, in fact she is three years ahead of Anisa." Mrs. Hasnah continued, Doddy just nodded his head.

Because Doddy often glanced into the living room, it made Mrs. Hasnah frown, Doddy didn't usually act like that even though all this time many of Anisa's female friends had also come to visit, but her son's attitude had never been like he was now.

"Why are you Doddy? How come I've been paying attention since earlier, you always glance at the living room?" His mother's question made Doddy startled.

"Ah, no, ma'am. I'm just looking at my reflection in the window, my eyes are a little sore. I think there's sand or something that got into my eyes." Doddy answered lying.

Not long after, Fauzana and Anisa were seen standing up from their seats in the living room, they stepped outside onto the terrace of the house.

"Ma'am, Anisa, please let me go to Sis Fauzana's place. There is something that needs to be discussed about matters related to this year's Ramadan activities among office employees, because this year's Ramadan is still in a pandemic atmosphere. "The routine activities that we usually do, such as breaking the fast together, may be canceled and we will look for other activities as replacements." said Anisa when she and Fauzana had arrived on the terrace of the house standing next to Doddy and her mother.

"Yes son, please." commented Mrs. Hasnah.

"I also ask to say goodbye, ma'am, Sis Doddy." Fauzana appears to have her palms together in a half-crouched position, that is her polite attitude that she always shows wherever she is. Mrs. Hasnah and Doddy, who at that time also stood up, nodded their heads in response to the beautiful girl's respectful greeting.

Two automatic motorbikes were preparing to leave the fairly wide yard of the house.

"Be careful on the road, kid!" Mrs. Hasnah exclaimed, the two girls on the automatic motorbike nodded their heads. After waving their hands, they immediately left, Doddy, who was still standing, stared stunned at the direction the two girls had gone, this could not be separated from the observation of his mother, who had been surprised by the change in her son's attitude.

Fauzana is a very beautiful girl wearing a headscarf, she is the youngest of three siblings, her two older siblings are married and live with their husbands in different villages. Fauzana is a girl who always has a simple appearance, she is not the daughter of a Kiai nor the daughter of a cleric, but her life principles of always adhering to religious teachings make her a true Muslim woman.

It's not surprising that she is the belle of the village, because apart from being beautiful, she also has noble character. Many men have approached and even come to her parents to propose, but until now no one has been able to win her heart. Her parents never wanted to interfere in their daughter's personal affairs, they left it entirely up to Fauzana to determine her choice.

Even though it is not uncommon for her parents to ask about who and when she will marry, Fauzana always answers that she has not yet found the person she wants to be her life partner. In her office there are quite a few single men who try to approach her to win her heart, but up to now all the men she is close to are only considered friends or fellow employees of local government agencies.

That afternoon it rained heavily, Anisa had not returned home because perhaps she was waiting for the rain to stop because she went to Fauzana's house on an automatic motorbike.

Mrs. Hasnah seemed worried that if her daughter dared to come home in the rain, Anisa could fall ill. Because Mrs. Hasnah looked upset on the terrace of the house, Mr. Abraham, who was in the living room chatting with his son Doddy, got up from his seat and went to the terrace of the house.

"What's wrong ma'am? Why do you seem so worried?" asked Mr. Abraham when he arrived at the terrace of the house.

"How can you not be worried, sir, it's already this afternoon, Anisa hasn't come home yet. Mother is worried that if he is determined to come home through this heavy rain, he might get sick later." answered Mrs. Hasnah, who still looked upset. Doddy, who heard her parents' conversation, also got up from her seat and headed to the terrace of the house.

"Let me pick up Anisa, ma'am!" Doddy exclaimed when he was standing next to his parents.

"Do you really know Fauzana's house?" asked his mother.

"I don't know Fauzana's house, ma'am, but I know about Mrs. Fitria's house. Hey..! He..!" Doddy joked, Mr Abraham just smiled at his son's joke.

"You are just there, Mrs. Fitria's house is Fauzana's house too." Mrs. Hasnah almost twisted Doddy's ear.

"Yes, I didn't know all this time that Mrs. Fitria had a daughter named Fauzana." Doddy once again joked at his mother, even though his mother had previously told him that Fauzana was Mrs. Fitria's daughter.

"Yes, I'll pick you up now! "Later your sister will come home in the rain." Doddy just nodded his head and headed towards the car garage.

A rush car driven by Doddy sped away from the yard of a relatively luxurious house in the village. It only took approximately five minutes for Doddy to arrive at the house he was going to.

At first, Anisa thought that it was Mr. Abraham, her father, who came to pick her up, but when Doddy came out of the car carrying an umbrella, Anisa was shocked. He didn't expect that his older brother would come to pick him up, because up until now he had never done that unless Anisa asked for help, which was rarely fulfilled because Doddy was more busy with his friends.

"Do you think Sis Doddy will pick you up?" asked Anisa, who at that time was standing with Fauzana on the terrace of the house.

"Dad's not in a body anymore." Doddy said lying.

"Come in first sis!" Fauzana offered.

"Next time Fauzana, it's getting late." said Doddy while smiling, even though in his heart he really wanted to go into the house so he could look longer at the beautiful face of the girl who was standing next to his sister. However, because there was no response from Anisa, she was reluctant and made small talk.
