Faes live for thousands of years if they are powerful enough to stand against anything, some live for centuries, their lives aren't short, but they can be killed. Ash, obsidian, dragon stone, and hell fire can kill them, as well as another fae who's magic is extremely strong in a catastrophic level, if you can overpower them, you can get a chance to kill them. But our kind is very proud and hate this weakness, hence why they went after immortality.

All the seven families would be granted a sip of the immortality dew that they would get from sacrificing Cain and Cassandra Wintergrave, the Emperor and the Empress, as well as their three children: Imperial Crowned Princess Ravenna, Imperial Prince Lucius, and Imperial Princess Scarlat, who were 7, 4, and 2 years old respectively.

They got to the youngest heirs first, killing them mercilessly, then parted to the Empress and the Emperor, as they couldn't find the Crowned Princess, and as they were sacrificing them, the immortality dew was being made in front of them. Ravenna watched it all happen from where her mom had hidden her in the throne room.

When they were not looking, she grabbed the vessel of the dew.

She had her mother teleportation ring on, that her mother had given her when she hid her in the throne room, telling her to turn the magic on it, on, and go to where her mother had set the magical portal to. So, she turned the dew it all down her throat in front of everyone, yelling a promise that she'd one day comeback to make them pay for what they did, and before they attacked her, she teleported away. Ravenna was 7 and never found.

I am Ravenna.

And I remember it all too well.

Mother's ring teleported me to the human realm, I don't know how she managed to find a way to get to the human world, but I fell there, my Fae features masked away from the human sight. I tried to leave, because I could only access a bit of my magic, and when there was no humanity near me, but because there's little and nearing none magic, the ring needed to take its time to recharge, so I could use it again to teleport back to our realm.

It took 7 years, hence why I left at 7 and came back at 14.

For 1 year, I lived in a orphanage from a big city called New York, where I fell into, until a rich couple adopted me there. From then on I lived as Davina Caldwell-Holland, the daughter of Cornelius Holland and Irene Caldwell-Holland, a famous Architect and a famous runaway model who was also a famous romance writer. They were lovely to me, really lovely, and I helped them by using a little bit of magic to induce her body to be able to have babies, since they dreamed with it and they had difficulties on it.

They put me in a elite New Yorker preparatory school, and for the 6 years I attended it, I was the top student, and I jumped years, enough to make me finish what they call high-school by the time I turned 14 years old. And my human parents were close to having triplets that they were going to name Callum, Camilla, and Cassian, when the ring recharged. I waited three months, enough for my human mother to give birth to the babies, and for me to meet them, then I whipped all of their memories of me and left.

It hurt. I felt the hit of losing another family, deep in my heart.

But I had my priorities set straight, and I had changed their lives for the better, I know that, they were now set to be happy. My human siblings are 8 years old now, the age I was when they adopted me. They will have the good life I had, that had always been theirs to begin with.

I was a bit out of it when I came back because of that, and that was why I had gone to the orphanage, which ended with me getting trapped in those damn shackles, and victim to this ruthless system my great-granddad created, because he was a bitch. And that was when I began to learn all that happened after I left, and everything that took place, and the new royals. I got so mad it made me fucking nauseous, to learn that the ones who took away my family were now I'm power and acting gracious.

But there's a funny catch. They made everybody believe Ravenna is dead too, that she died with the Imperial family, and that they drank the immortality dew and are now immortals. Making so nobody will defy them.

Bullshit.

I bet they are still helplessly looking for me, and thankfully I look nothing like I did when I was a child. My hair that was pale blonde, became strawberry blonde, and then darker and darker with the years, and it's now burgundy red, and my skin was tanned and it's now pale, my eyes were dark midnight blue and are now golden like molten gold.

I took after my great-great-great-great-great-great-grandparents, I know that because I remember the gallery hall of my family, where there were paintings of all the previous rulers, and I take after them. I look nothing like my parents did. Coincidentally, I look like the ones who were touched by the God of Death, which I think might be because I drank the potion.

And all I could think as I stared into the demonic dragon's eyes was that she knew who I am, and that this is not very good, but again, nothing to be done about it. I cannot be killed. Believe me, I've tried to make sure, and nothing works.

"Are you in pain?" River snapped me out of it.

When I realized, we were already over the dragon and the others were mounting it, which got me genuinely anxious, but thankfully I'm in this bastard's arms, and not touching her scales. Though I think they are nearly equally bad, because he's from a bloodline that killed mine, and the dragon is of the demon kind who took my family's sacrifice.

["I won't tell them, you can tell me, Davina,"] he said softly.

Ugh. ["It's not just the physical pain, I'm hungry and thirsty."]

"Hold on tight," he shouted to everyone. "I won't come back to get any of you if you fall," then he grabbed onto the saddle of the dragon, and I can't even believe they put a saddle in a demonic beast, Gods above.
