After a long day at work Sarah reachead home to finally take a rest after a long day at work, but she also felt something inside of her, that she never felt before from Dylan, but she didn't let that bother her. As she was getting ready for bed she placed her book neatly by the bedside stand beside her, while she switched off the lamp to go to bed. The next day she got ready for work,as she sips her coffee, she starts to create her weekly schedule for the next week, she also starts preparing her bulletins for her upcoming meeting, This particular meeting was about spreading/expanding her business empire all over the U.S states ,As time flies by the week as ended, So sarah decided to go to the beach over the weekend.
As Sarah was soaking up the sun's rays on the beach, she heard a familiar voice behind her. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here." It was Dylan, the detective from her high school days. She was taken aback by his sudden appearance, but she tried to play it cool. "Dylan, what are you doing here?" she asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
Dylan smiled and said, "Just enjoying the sun and the sand. I didn't know you'd be here too." He walked towards her, his eyes fixed on hers, and Sarah felt a flutter in her chest. She tried to brush it off as mere nostalgia, but she couldn't deny the way her heart raced when Dylan was near.
As he approached, Sarah couldn't help but notice how much he had changed. He was taller and more muscular, with a confidence and air of authority that he hadn't had in high school. His eyes still had that same piercing quality, but now they seemed to see right through her. She felt a shiver run down her spine as he sat down beside her on the beach towel.
They chatted for a bit, catching up on each other's lives. Sarah told him about her business, and Dylan shared stories about his cases. She was fascinated by his work and impressed by his dedication to solving crimes. As they talked, Sarah found herself feeling more and more at ease in Dylan's presence. She couldn't explain why, but she felt like she could trust him with anything.
As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the beach, Dylan turned to her and said, "You know, Sarah, I've been thinking a lot about our high school days lately." Sarah raised an eyebrow, curious. "Oh yeah? What about them?" she asked. Dylan's eyes locked onto hers, and he said, "I've been thinking about how much I regret not asking you out back then."
Sarah's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't expected this. She didn't know what to say, so she just sat there, her mouth hanging open in surprise. Dylan laughed and said, "I know, I know, it's been a long time. But I can't help how I feel. I've always had a thing for you, Sarah."
Sarah's mind raced as she tried to process what Dylan was saying. She hadn't expected this confession, and she didn't know how to respond. Part of her was flattered, but another part was scared. She didn't know if she was ready to open herself up to love again.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Dylan took her hand in his. "I know this may seem sudden, Sarah, but I can't help how I feel. I want to spend more time with you, get to know you again. Will you let me take you out on a date?"
Sarah's heart was racing as she looked into Dylan's eyes. She saw sincerity and kindness there, and she knew she couldn't say no. "Okay," she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'd like that."
Dylan grinned and pulled her into a hug. "I'll pick you up at 7 pm tomorrow night," he said, his voice full of excitement. Sarah nodded, feeling a sense of anticipation wash over her. She had no idea what the future held, but she knew one thing for sure: she was ready to take a chance on love again.
