It was as if her heart pounded so violently it felt as though it might burst from her chest in that moment-all things blurred and distorted in her mind. Her hands, which had been resting idly at her sides, now gripped the edge of the table as if they could anchor her to the ground, "W-w-wha-" she couldn't form a word as everything seemed too confusing to her right now, she supported herself by the table, "Hello Savannah" a voice suddenly spoke.
"It's great to hear that you're awake, oh my goodness!" It was Theo's homeroom teacher "Hello, Ms. Park, where is Theo?" She then continued, "I really need to speak to him, please call him." She said hurriedly as she didn't want to waste any more time without him, but the other person remained silent. "Hello, Ms. Park!?" She was now grew frustrated as she ran her hand over her head.
"Where's theo, call him now." She was feeling uneasy, her whole body trembling. "Savannah, what are you talking about?" Her eyebrows knitted in confusion, "It's been a year since theo died."
The words hit her like a physical blow, and for a moment, the world went completely still. The beeping of her heart seemed to slow down. Her breath caught in her throat, and she stared at a blurry vision, unable to fully grasp the enormity of what Ms. park had just said. "Stop making jokes about my child" I added "I will fucking sue you" she continued, "Don't you feel ashamed saying something like that about a child" she added, Savannah was disgusted at the Homeroom teacher, how could she? "If you don't believe me, ask people around you" and the line disconnected.
Sighing, she nuetralized her irregular breathing and paced out of the room, hoping to find Theo. She has only been unconscious for 3 days, and they talking about a year? She don't believe it. And go on to find Theo later she'll have a talk with Homeroom teacher.
As she pace through this completely different environment, she saw a view of a garden, but from the back, the room she was in was a totally different small house just behind the main mansion. She walked and met several men guarding outside, they eyed her, she didn't understand what they meant by those looks. She went inside the mansion, just half way through, she saw Blaze coming out with a tray in his hands, "Sava-" I walked past him without seeing him or responding to him because right now, all I wanted was one look at my baby, and nothing else could heal me but him. I walked toward his room with a heavy hurt, knowing that I would find him there, as it was his favorite spot in this entire house.
"Theo!" She called out his name, but he didn't answer. "Theodore Miller" she called out his full name, which everytime worked if something like this ever happened but again no answer came. He didn't answer. She became more scared. The room was cleaner than before, but everything belonging to Theo was still there, but where was he? She left the room, pacing towards the main living room.
"Where's Theo?" She asked Blaze who was standing in the living room when he saw her completely ignoring him and walking inside. Blaze knitted his brows in confusion. "I asked where's Theo?" Savannah asked frustratedly running her hand over her head. Blaze stepped closer to Savannah, "Savannah, what are you talking about?" but Savannah backed away.
In response to his question, Savannah said, "Where is Theo?". SHe was now feeling something in her throat, but she did not show it, "What has happened to you?"- "What are you talking about?" Blaze again questioned, Savannah grew more angry, her voice grew stronger despite the heaviness in her chest. "Tell me what's going on!? I need to know. I want to see my child!."
Then Blaze reapproached her and took her shoulder in his palm. "Savannah, it's not the right time to discuss this," he said softly. "You need to focus on your recovery."
The vague responses and evasive answers only fueled her anxiety, She could sense the undercurrent of something tragic but unspoken, and the walls of the room seemed to close in around her, pressing down with the weight of her unanswered questions, Her heart pounded painfully in her chest as she tried to read the faces around her, each one reflecting a shadow of despair she didn't fully understand.
"Tell me." Savannah demanded a reply with an unemtional face. She stared directly into Blaze's eyes with something that even Blaze could not read. It was as dark as the night, emotionless, so Blaze understood what he had to say now, how he should say it again? For a time, he knew she had no memory of that moment, otherwise she wouldn't have asked something like this again.
When she knows it would hurt her more, finally deciding to do what he did a year ago, he finally told her, "Theo had passed away, Savannnah" he continued "Theo passed away a year ago." Slap!
The world seemed to tilt, the room spinning around her as if it were caught in a tornado of grief. Her breath hitched, her heart pounding erratically in her chest. The harsh reality of his words struck her like a physical blow, each syllable a dagger to her already fragile heart.
"No," she whispered, shaking her head as though she could physically deny the truth. "You're wrong. This is not true" she continued taking steps back "I was slept for only a week, Theo? A year ago?" she frustatedly chuckled "Stop with your jokes about my kid" she sneered at him "A week?" Blaze knitted his brows ignoring the slap he just got from Savannah, he dint mind that at all, if she want, he would let her kill him "It's been a year since you were in a coma, Savannah."
Her confusion and disbelief surged over her, "A year ago? What happened? and Why-why was I in a coma?" Blaze's expression became more somber, and he took a deep breath, as though preparing himself for an uncomfortable conversation, but this was not the right time. "Savannah, I will tell you everything, but right now isn't the right time." He tried talking to calm her, but she refused "Stop making up things," she said as she stepped towards Blaze.
All of Blaze's people were so confused by Savnnah's behavior right now, it felt like they were watching a totally different person. However, they didn't intervene between them and just watched.
In contrast, Blaze just stood there, doing nothing but watching Savannah, hoping she finally got it. He didn't know what to do or how to get her to believe in this? Finally, a tear ran down Savannah's cheeks all the way down to the floor. "Please, someone just tell me the truth," her voice was now just audible, trembling as she stared at each individual inside the mansion but no one responded.
With a mixture of sorrow and sadness in his face, Blaze said, "We're trying to protect you. You need to be strong for yourself and for your people."
Protect her? From what? The protective barrier of silence only deepened her sense of isolation and fear. She felt a growing frustration, a helpless anger that she couldn't direct anywhere but inward. Her body ached with the strain of lying in the bed, and her mind raced through a thousand scenarios, each more terrifying than the last.
In her desperation, she tried to keep the strenght to being stand, her strength waning but her resolve firm. "Please," she whispered, tears streaming down her face. "I need to know. I need to see Theo." Now she finally cried, which she had been holding for a long time. "Savannah, this is the truth you have to believe it." Blaze again tried to talk to her but failed, "YOU'RE ALL LYING!!" Her voice echoed throughout the entire mansion so well that even the guards outside could hear it. Elijah came running inside and saw Blaze standing just inches away from Savannah and Savannah looking in really bad shape, he was surprised to see her awake after an entire year. "I'm fuckking not believing it!"
She tried to keep herself standing but this time failed on herself and her legs, they both gave up on them. Now blaze didn't know what to do as he was feeling uneasy too seeing Savannnah like that, so he gestured something to his secretary who had been watching everything all day long, Arthur climbed the stairs to accomplish something, what his boss asked him to do, and came down after five minutes. Having something in his hands, he handed them over to Blaze who rushed down to Savannah who was crying mess right now. "Here see," he said, placing the some papers in front of her. "This is his death certificate, some photos and an invoice for the funeral hall." Savannah was sceptical about seeing them or even read them, but she then grabbed them still sitting on the floor.
She reached for the death certificate first, her eyes scanning the words, as though they might change if she looked long enough. The formal language was stark and cold, outlining the undeniable fact that her child had passed away. Her breath caught in her throat, and she felt a profound sense of disbelief. The date, the cause, it was all there in black and white, an unyielding testament to an unimaginable tragedy. There were written so many things but she couldn't focus on anything just the date of his death.
The memory of her child-their laughter, their presence, their warmth-now felt like a distant dream, shattered by the cruel reality of her extended coma, her mind reeled, unable to comprehend the magnitude of what she was being told. Without them, a void that seemed insurmountable remained, an insurmountable chasm.
The room blurred as tears filled her eyes, each breath coming in ragged, uneven gasps. She tried to find solace in her family's presence, but there was none, she could only mirrored her own, amplifying the depth of her grief. The loss felt like an unbearable weight pressing down on her, leaving her adrift in a sea of sorrow.
Her vision blurred with tears, and the room seemed to dissolve into a haze of sorrow. Memories of her child-every laugh, every hug, every shared moment-flashed through her mind like a cruel montage, each one a painful reminder of what
