Chapter 124 - Balancing Life.

YouHeal Hospital

Savannah straightened her coat as she entered the hospital lobby, the usual smell of antiseptic and the low murmur of activity welcoming her. It had been more than a month since she last walked these halls, but the place still felt like a cozy second home, a setting that always gave her a sense of purpose.

She gave a small smile, feeling excited inside. That morning, she had been looking forward to getting back to work, ready to dive back into the hospital routine.

As she walked down the corridors, a few staff members stopped to congratulate her on her recent marriage. Savannah smiled politely and thanked them warmly, feeling both happy and a bit self-conscious. Their congratulations brought back all the emotions she had gone through over the past few weeks.

A female doctor she knew, Dr. Marissa, approached her, her eyes immediately falling on the diamond ring adorning Savannah's finger. "Oh, Savannah!" Marissa exclaimed, her gaze locked on the shimmering band. "Congratulations on your marriage-and, oh my God, that ring!"

Savannah blinked, tilting her head slightly. "Thank you, Marissa," she said softly, glancing at her hand.

Marissa leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Do you know what this is? Ohmygod! This is one of the rarest wedding rings in the world! Only a handful of these exist, crafted with diamonds from a single legendary mine. Savannah, do you have any idea how much this is worth?"

Savannah's eyes widened slightly. She hadn't paid much attention to the ring's origins. To her, it was a symbol of love, not wealth. "I... I didn't know," she admitted, her tone tinged with surprise.

"Who's your husband?" Marissa asked, clearly shocked and curious.

Savannah grinned mischievously. "That's something you'll have to figure out on your own." she said playfully, then turned and walked away, leaving Marissa staring after her in disbelief.

Savannah got to her cabin, feeling both relieved and excited to settle in. As she opened the door, she stopped, seeing someone already sitting in the chair across from her desk. It was Bella, was lounging comfortably, sipping iced tea with a neutral expression.

Savannah's face lit up with a smile, but then she felt a twinge of guilt. "Good morning, Bella," she said warmly, closing the door behind her.

Bella didn't answer right away. She just kept staring at Savannah while sipping her drink. Savannah walked over to her desk, put her purse down, and sat in her chair. "Bella, I'm so-"

"It's fine," Bella interrupted, her voice calm but firm.

Savannah frowned a little, not sure what to say. "I..."

Bella put her glass on the desk and leaned forward. "I get it, Savannah. It wasn't your fault. I had to go on that volunteer mission. Why are you feeling so guilty?"

Savannah hesitated, but Bella sounded sincere. Her reassurance helped ease Savannah's guilt.

"Really, it's fine," Bella went on. "I wish I could've been there for you, for your wedding, but duty called. I'm just glad you're happy."

Relieved, Savannah smiled warmly. "Thank you, Bella."

Bella stood and walked around the desk, taking Savannah's hand in hers. She inspected the ring closely, her eyes widening in astonishment. "Wait a second- Ohmygod! This is stunning, this is the ring, isn't it? The limited edition one everyone talks about? Who did you marry, Savannah?!"

Savannah chuckled and her cheeks turned a little pink. "A man," she said, her voice playful.

Bella gave her a doubtful look. "Savannah, don't give me the 'a man' talk. This ring is practically a legend! You have to tell me who he is."

But Savannah shook her head, her smile getting bigger. "Not yet, Bella. It's..... I'll tell you when the time is right."

Bella sighed heavily, crossing her arms. "Alright, fine. Keep your secrets. But don't think I won't find out. This guy of yours must be something special."

Savannah laughed, feeling much lighter. She was glad to have Bella back and by her side, even if she wasn't ready to spill everything just yet. She knew Blaze's identity would cause a stir, and she wanted to enjoy this calm moment before the curiosity turned into a frenzy.

Bella relaxed, leaning back in her chair with a mischievous grin. "Okay, fine. I'll back off... for now. But when you're ready, I expect all the details, Mrs, Mysterious."

Herbert Medical And Technology

Blaze Baldwin strode through the grand glass doors of Baldwin Enterprises, his presence commanding the immediate attention of everyone in the lobby. Dressed impeccably in a tailored charcoal suit, his tie perfectly knotted, and his polished shoes echoing on the marble floor, Blaze was every inch the powerful chairman he was known to be. His eyes, sharp and focused, scanned the space as he walked.

The arrival of the man himself, all chatter in the company ceased. Blaze Baldwin strode into the lobby, his tailored suit impeccable, his posture commanding, and his presence electrifying.

The staff lined up subtly, stealing glances as he passed. And then they saw it-the shiny object on his ring finger.

He's wearing a ring! - gasped one of the employee, almost dropping her files.

"No way," said another, her eyes wide.

"He's... married?" The disbelief was evident in the collective murmurs.

For many, Blaze Baldwin had always seemed out of reach, like an unbreakable wall of power and control. The idea of him being married felt almost unreal.

The women, especially, were curious. Blaze had always been the ultimate unreachable guy—too focused, too powerful, and way too intimidating for anyone to even think about approaching. Yet, someone had actually won his heart.

"I wonder who she is," one of them whispered, sounding a bit jealous.

"She must be incredible," another said, though she couldn't hide the disappointment in her voice.

Blaze kept his cool, but his mind was on Savannah. He had dropped her off at the hospital earlier, giving her a quick, sweet kiss before she walked in with her usual elegance. Her gentle smile stuck in his head, keeping him grounded as he got ready to jump back into the organized mess of his business world.

"Welcome back, Boss," his assistant, Arthur, said as he stepped into the elevator. "Your schedule is all set, and the board meeting starts in twenty minutes."

Arthur looked at his tablet, scrolling through some stuff. "The team working on the Park deal sent over the final contract for you to check. Legal's already reviewed it, but they need your signature. Oh, and there's some progress with the project in Dubai—Mathew has a full report for you."

Blaze exhaled, his mind already racing through the day's to-do list. "Got it. Set up a call with the Dubai team for this afternoon. And make sure the Park documents are in my office before the meeting."

He stepped out onto the executive floor as the elevator doors opened, nodding back at the employees who greeted him respectfully.

Blaze walked into his office, his personal space of control and precision. Arthur had already set everything up—reports, updates, and the day's agenda. But before getting to work, Blaze paused. He looked at the ring on his finger, a small but meaningful reminder of the new life he was starting with Savannah.

Arthur entered shortly after, placing the Park contract on the desk. "Do you want me to clear your afternoon after the Dubai call?"

Blaze shook his head. "No, keep the schedule as it is. I'll manage."

Later that morning, Matthew walked into Blaze's office with the Dubai report. While they talked about the project updates, Blaze's phone buzzed on the desk. He looked at the screen and saw Savannah's name.

A faint smile broke across his face as he picked up the phone. "Ana." he said, his tone softer than usual.

"Hey," Savannah's voice came through, light and cheerful. "Just wanted to check in. How's your day going?"

Blaze leaned back in his chair his focus shifting entirely to her. "Busy, but manageable. How about you? Settling back into the hospital routine?"

"I am," she replied. "Everyone's been so kind. But... I might have to bribe Bella to stop interrogating me about you."

Blaze chuckled lightly, a deep, rich sound that surprised Mathew, who rarely saw this side of him. "Let her wonder," he said. "It's more fun that way."

They chatted for a bit longer until Savannah had to get back to her work. Blaze ended the call, looking softer somehow, and turned to Elijah, who was giving him one of those looks like he knows everything.

"What?" Blaze asked, his tone returning to its usual sharpness.

"Nothing," Elijah said, caught off guard. "Just... ."

Blaze didn't respond immediately, his gaze distant for a moment. "Keep going." He asked for further discussion.

Later that afternoon, Arthur entered Blaze's office. "Sir, the board is waiting in the conference room. Shall we proceed?"

Blaze nodded, rising from his chair. "Let's get started."

Boardroom

The boardroom was tense when Blaze walked in. The directors knew his usual commanding presence, but today, he seemed different—lighter somehow, yet just as authoritative.

The meeting went smoothly. Blaze's sharp mind and decisive nature were clear as he handled each issue with precision. But even while they talked about acquisitions and market strategies, a few directors kept glancing at his hand.

As the meeting wound down and the sky grew dark, Blaze leaned back in his chair, looking out at the city skyline. He thought about Savannah—her smile, her laughter, how she had changed his world in ways he never expected.

He picked up his phone and texted her:

"Hope your day's going well, Mrs. Baldwin. Can't wait to see you, Ana. - B"

Smiling, he put his phone down and got back to work. Blaze Baldwin was now a guy who balanced everything—just as into his business as he was with the woman who changed his life.
