The first few weeks were challenging for Savannah. The physical toll of her captivity had left her weak, and the emotional scars were even deeper. Blaze hired the best doctors and therapists to help her heal, ensuring she had everything she needed.
Mornings were usually quiet. Savannah would spend hours in the sunlit garden at their estate, touching the flower petals, trying to find comfort in their beauty. Blaze would join her when he could, sitting quietly beside her, knowing that sometimes she didn't need words.
But nights were the hardest. The darkness brought back memories of the cold room, the chains, and Rodriguez's taunts. On those nights, Blaze was her rock. He'd hold her close, whispering gentle promises until she stopped shaking.
"I'm here, Savannah," he'd say, his voice calm and warm. "No one will ever hurt you again. I promise."
Their relationship got stronger in the weeks that followed. They spent more time together, not just as husband and wife but as two people rediscovering each other. Savannah started painting again, a hobby she had given up after her captivity. Blaze would often sit nearby, working on his laptop, stealing glances at her as she lost herself in her art.
One day, Savannah painted a portrait of them together, her brush capturing the love and resilience they shared. When she unveiled it to Blaze, he was speechless.
"It's us," she said, smiling softly. "Not perfect, but whole."
Blaze pulled her into his arms and held her tight. "I'll never let, anything come between us again," he whispered.
One evening, as they stood on the balcony of their home, watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of gold and crimson, Savannah turned to Blaze.
"I trust you," she said, her eyes bright. "I trust us. No matter what your past holds, I trust the man standing beside me now."
Blaze couldn't find the words to answer. Instead, he gently cupped her face and kissed her. That kiss said it all—love, gratitude, and a promise to face anything together.
In that moment, as the sun faded, they felt their love was unshakeable, built not just on passion but on trust, resilience, and a bond that nothing could break.
YouHeal Hospital
Savannah's return to work sparked a mix of relief and curiosity among her colleagues, particularly Bella, who was her closest friend at the hospital. Bella was the first to spot her absence, and her cheerful concern now made Savannah feel both touched and a little nervous.
"Where did you go?" Bella asked as they sipped coffee during a break. "I was really worried! You just disappeared without a word."
Savannah hesitated, knowing she couldn't reveal the terrifying truth. She didn't want Bella to be burdened or frightened by the shadows of her past. So, with a warm smile, she crafted a gentle lie.
"I had to take some time off unexpectedly," Savannah said, keeping her tone light. "There was a personal emergency, but everything's okay now."
Bella's forehead wrinkled for a second, but then she relaxed. "Thank goodness! But seriously, the boss looked super mad when he couldn't find you. I thought for sure you'd get in trouble for skipping work."
Savannah couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of Blaze-her husband and the man who had orchestrated her rescue-being angry in that context. "Don't worry," she reassured Bella. "I didn't get scolded. Everything's fine."
Bella's face brightened with relief. "Good! I thought he'd fire you after you were gone for two weeks!"
Savannah chuckled softly, shaking her head. "You won't be getting rid of me that easy, Bella," she joked.
The two friends chatted warmly, their conversation a comforting reminder of the simple joys in Savannah's life. As the day went on, Savannah threw herself into her work. Her patients' needs gave her a new sense of purpose.
When the workday ended, Savannah cleaned up her office and grabbed her stuff. Bella walked with her to the door, and they said their cheerful goodbyes before going their separate ways. As Savannah stepped outside into the cool evening air, she saw a familiar figure leaning against the usual spot by the car.
It was Blaze, standing tall and relaxed against his sleek black car. He looked confident, but his face softened when he saw her. Seeing him made Savannah's heart warm, and she couldn't help but smile widely.
Without hesitation, she rushed over to him and hugged him tight around the waist. Blaze responded right away, pulling her close and putting his arm around her shoulders.
"Tired?" he asked, his voice soft and loving.
Savannah looked up at him, her smile radiant. "Not anymore. I'm feeling way better in your arms."
Blaze's lips curved into a smirk as he patted her hair gently. "Then let's get you home, baby girl," he murmured, his tone playful
.
Before Savannah could say anything, Blaze bent down and scooped her up effortlessly. She laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck as he carried her like a bride to the car.
"Blaze!" she giggled, even though she was clearly enjoying it.
"Shh," he teased, grinning as he opened the car door smoothly. "A queen deserves to be carried, right?"
Savannah rested her head on his shoulder, her heart overflowing. "If you insist," she whispered, her voice brimming with love.
As the car drove off and the city lights reflected in the windows, Savannah felt a peace she hadn't felt in weeks. With Blaze by her side, she knew they could handle anything together.
Time went by—days turned into months, and months into years—and Savannah was fully recovered. Everything was back to normal, filled with love and peace with Blaze, just like she had hoped or dreamed of.
Their bond got even stronger as Blaze shared more stories about himself. He told her how strict his dad was and how he wanted Blaze to follow his rules or leave. Blaze promised he'd be exactly what his dad wanted, (never imagining he'd turn into a monster instead.)
Savannah listened to every word without a doubt, like a kid listening to a bedtime story.
And-
Their love grew, just like in a fairy tale.
