What If I help You

The next morning, Rain woke up to the sight of Alexander's face, mere inches away from hers. He was still holding her close, his arms wrapped around her, keeping her tucked against his chest.

She smiled inwardly despite the slight numbness in her body from lying in the same position all night. But even with the discomfort, she didn't want to move. The warmth of his embrace, the faint scent of his cologne lingering from the night before—it was all too comforting to let go.

Just as she thought about snuggling in deeper, Alexander stirred. Her heart raced, and on instinct, she quickly closed her eyes, pretending to still be asleep. She felt his movements slow, and then, gently, he began to kiss her—first on her forehead, then her eyelids, the tip of her nose, and her cheeks.
