Rain had just stepped out of the elevator into the parking lot when her phone rang. She answered, hearing Alexander's voice on the other end.
"Stop right there," he instructed firmly.
She frowned, confused. "And where do you think you're going?" he questioned next. His car pulled up in front of her, and he stepped out, gesturing for her to get inside.
Rain complied, sensing that Alexander had already seen the article about the fraudulent marriage.
"Sanya needs me," she stated the moment he settled into the back seat with her.
"I know," Alexander replied, completely unfazed. "But you don't need to worry about her. William will handle this mess," he said with a casual smile as if they weren't knee-deep in a scandal. His calmness baffled her.
Rain frowned, studying him. "Explain, please?"
