She Would Be Booted Out

Exasperated, Anastasia clenched her hands so tightly that her knuckles turned white.

She wanted to go immediately but couldn't because of the gossipy swarm surrounding them.

"I understand, but your husband is a complete wastrel. After being away for so long, he's still a good-for-nothing different from me! I'm different. I will treat you nicely. I can give you what he cannot! That person is not deserving of you at all! "I am thousands of times better than him!" Seth yelled loudly, hoping to weaken Ethan to the greatest extent possible.

"Enough! I do not want to hear you talk anymore! Do you know him? What right do you have to speak about him? Anastasia responded bitterly, contemptible for Seth for believing he was thousands of times better than Ethan.

Seth couldn't compare to Ethan, but even if he was better, it had nothing to do with her.

Anastasia's eyes widened with astonishment as she noticed Ethan slipping through the crowd and slowly approaching her.

"Why are you here?" Anastasia gazed at him, surprised.

"Ethan Knight!" Seth stared angrily at the unwanted guest, forgetting that Ethan was Anastasia's legitimate husband.

"I'm here to pick you up to go home." Ethan smiled at Anastasia and handed her a ring made of grass. "I saw this along the way, so I made you one."

It was a small ring made of fine strands of green grass with a tiny purple flower in the center.

The crowd craned their heads and looked over, then burst out laughing.

"Oh, my God!" "Do people still weave rings out of grass nowadays?"

"That is so lowly!" If he can't afford a diamond ring, he should at least get a gold or platinum ring, correct? "A glass ring is worthless."

"No wonder this man claimed to be thousands of times better than the other man. It certainly appears to be the case!"

"There's such a big difference. This man proposed with a diamond band weighing at least several carats, while the other proposed with a grass ring. Oh, my God. "Any woman would know who to pick!"

To everyone's surprise, Anastasia grasped the grass ring Ethan handed her, placing it on her finger.

"I like it! "Thank you!" She gave Ethan a bright smile.

"What? "That woman chose the grass ring!"

"Are you serious?" Is there a woman in the world who would prefer a grass ring to a diamond ring? "I do not believe it!"

"Tsk, what a pretty but foolish girl. Why hadn't I met her earlier? What a pity! "That rascal has an advantage!"

Everyone glanced at Anastasia as if she were a fool, then gazed at Ethan with jealousy!

This rascal is extremely lucky!

Ignoring the strange looks from those around them, Ethan took Anastasia's hand and walked away.

Seth, boiling with rage, gazed at the two of them from behind and watched them go.

"Hey, Ethan Knight!" "You loser, I will not let you go!" Seth snarled, gritting his teeth.

Ethan and Anastasia got into their car and drove to the kindergarten to pick up Sophia.

Sophia smiled broadly and dashed toward her parents as they picked her up jointly. "Daddy! Mommy!"

Ethan stepped forward, grabbed Sophia, and held her in his arms.

Anastasia had intended to remark that Sophia was already six years old and did not need to be carried all the time, but when she saw how happy Sophia was, she couldn't bring herself to say that.

Sophia had been looking forward to having a father for a long time, and now that she was closer to him, Anastasia decided to let them alone.

The three of them got in the car and drove home.

Sophia couldn't stop talking about what had happened at school today. They were both pleased to hear her discuss them, even if they were silly.

Ethan was happy, but he saw Anastasia wasn't looking well. She was frowning slightly and appeared to be out of sorts. She only came back to her senses after Sophia shook her hard.

Ethan scowled inwardly and inquired, seemingly casually, "Did something happen at the office today?"

"Huh?" Anastasia was in a daze again when she realized Ethan was asking her a question.

She hung her head low and stroked Sophia's head, attempting to appear relaxed. "Nothing. Everything is going nicely.

Ethan was convinced after seeing her reaction that something had occurred to her at Spark Enterprises.

However, he did not express it directly. When Anastasia returned home from supper, she remarked nervously, "I need to get out and do something. "I'll be home late."

Ethan was a little startled because Anastasia rarely went out at night. She disliked shopping and socializing, so she spent most of her free time at home with Sophia, except for the odd overtime.

"Where are you going?" "I'll give you a lift," Ethan said.

Anastasia shakes her head. "No, it's okay. I'll take a taxi. Stay at home and accompany Sophia.

Ethan looked at her and nodded.

After Anastasia left, Ethan immediately contacted Boysen.

"Find out what happened to Anastasia at the Spark Enterprises today and inform me immediately."

Boysen shivered. "Yes, Mr. Knight!"

Ethan had always been deeply concerned about Anastasia. Boysen dared not be careless as he urgently directed his staff to find out.

As a result, Boysen turned pale twenty minutes later when the case facts were revealed to him.

Even Boysen became irritated and upset after reading it. What else could Ethan, who was deeply concerned about Anastasia, say?

Tonight, Anastasia was going to Dreamscape Media, a well-known business that Alaric Voss' father runs.

Anastasia was tasked with discussing cooperation with Dreamscape Media. If she failed to finish it, she would be booted out of Spark Enterprises!
