End Of Discussion

After hearing her comments, Ethan grinned and gazed at her compassionately. Now he understands more of his wife. "Do not worry. The injuries we inflicted on Alaric Voss were not fatal. Even if they try to investigate, they won't be able to link it to me. Thus, I won't be in trouble.

Anastasia eventually felt less concerned, but she cautioned Ethan, "Anyway, you should be more careful. There are people around that have disgraceful intent to you."

"Yes, I will," Ethan said with a smile. His heart was warmed with her concern.

After Anastasia went, his face turned chilly.

There was more to the deaths of Alaric and Gudrich Voss!

He would not want to interfere with the Vosses' family affairs if no one offended him.

However, if someone were foolish enough to try to put the situation on him and blame him, he would not be kind to sit idle and cut off his hand! He wasn't a saint, after all. And he will not allow someone to tarnish his reputation, especially in front of his wife!

At this point, the Voss mansion was utterly dark. Two massive black lacquered wooden coffins were placed in the hall's center, surrounded by countless white wreaths.

The Voss family was prominent in Emerald Coast County. Because such a significant incident occurred so suddenly, there were many visitors. Whether they were close or not, they all had to attend and say their goodbyes to the departed. They would also have to demonstrate their respect and then console the Vosses. Their condolences to the family poured due to the sudden death of the two heir of the Vosses.

Alfie sat beside the hall, looking at the two coffins in front of him with a deadpan expression. He was motionless and seemed not to hear or see anything around him. His previously rosy and robust face appeared to have aged more than ten years overnight. He is still in a dilemma of what happened.

The two coffins before him were for his only son, Gudrich Voss, and his only grandson, Alaric Voss. They would never open their eyes again. He would never see them around messing or making him laugh or warmth his heart. These two people in the coffin were his greatest treasures.

Alfie's eyes welled up with tears as he recalled this.

This scene made the countless guests who came to express their condolences sigh with grief.

Anyone would be devastated and heartbroken if they lost their son or grandson overnight at an advanced age.

Fortunately, he had his eldest son, Lucius Voss, who could continue the family heritage.

Lucius appeared to be grieving and had tears in his eyes as he accepted the guests' comfort and condolences on behalf of the Vosses. When something saddened him, he would weep and feel overwhelmed by the loss of his younger brother and nephew.

The individuals who came to offer condolences became emotional as they realized the Voss brothers had a close bond. It is grieving to see the elder brother lose his younger brother.

However, after everyone had left in the middle of the night, Lucius gazed at the two giant coffins in the hall, and his melancholy expression was replaced with the mocking smile of a victor.

On the second day following Alaric and Gudrich's burial, Alfie emerged from his bedroom and regained some of his vitality.

However, Alfie sported combed hair and a bent back. His eyes also had a keen glitter, which made everyone's heart race.

The Vosses waited in the hall, not daring to breathe.

Alfie sat down in a chair in the hall, glanced around, and continued slowly, "A few days ago, my son, Gudrich, and my grandson, Alaric, both died in the hospital due to a severe infection of their wounds."

Alfie's voice was hoarse. As soon as he shouted these words, a middle-aged woman dashed out, collapsed to the ground, and began wailing bitterly. "Alfie! It would help if you avenged Gudrich and Alaric. They died a wrongful death, yet the scoundrel who murdered them is still alive. You can't let him go easily! "You must make him pay for it!"

The middle-aged woman was none other than Alaric's mother, Gudrich's wife.

After losing her husband and son on the same night, she was about to lose her sanity! Losing both of them in a single night is unacceptable to her! A grieving wife and a mother.

She had heard that they had been severely beaten because they had upset Ethan Knight! Even when they were hospitalized, he refused to let them go and eventually killed them! Or so she thought.

Alaric's injuries were significant but not fatal, and so were Gudrich's. So they couldn't have died in the hospital overnight!

While the widow wailed bitterly, the Vosses began arguing constantly.

Almost everyone agreed that Alaric and Gudrich's deaths were suspicious.

Despite their dislike for the domineering and haughty Gudrich and the loafer Alaric, who were frequently up to no good and only knew how to make trouble, they remained the family's fundamental members. Nonetheless, they were both executed in such a violent manner that they felt terrified and offended. This is truly unacceptable to their conscience as their family member.

Everyone stared at Alfie, anticipating that he would issue orders to discover the rascal who had harassed them and then kill him in secret to revenge the deaths of the two Vosses!

To everyone's amazement, Alfie did not pledge to identify the guilty to revenge Alaric and Gudrich. Still, he even glared at them sullenly and remarked austerely, "From now on, no one is allowed to discuss the deaths of Alaric and Gudrich. Otherwise, don't blame me for being cruel and penalizing you under the family laws!"

Alfie's words astounded everyone!

He is threatening to use family laws to suppress this subject!

Why?

Could the culprit be so powerful that even Alfie is afraid to tamper with him?

"No! You cannot do that. You see that they were both murdered! "How could you not avenge them?" The middle-aged woman yelled, unable to accept the result.

"Shut up!" Alfie barked and stared at the middle-aged woman. "Are you not hearing what I'm saying? Now that my kid is gone, you can leave the family if you wish!"

"..." The middle-aged woman was so terrified of Alfie that she began convulsing with anxiety, not daring to vent her problems. She cannot afford to leave the Voss family.

She had now lost both her husband and her kid, and she could only live the rest of her life with Alfie. Her life would be awful if she provoked him and was kicked out! She had nothing to support herself!

Alfie stood up and looked at the people in the hall's center. "Have you all heard what I said? If I find out that anyone discusses this again, don't blame me for not telling you earlier! This is the end of discussion!"
