Waking Up

One month after the assassination attempt, the capital of the Romanium Kingdom was overcome with sadness. In the days following the assassination attempt, the city stayed in complete lockdown, with the citizens restricted to their homes while the garrison and Royal legionaries scoured the city looking for the perpetrators. Unfortunately, the week-long search yielded poor results, only finding a few grunt soldiers hiding in an aqueduct tunnel who were quickly apprehended. The main perpetrators had seemingly vanished into thin air within the city.

After locking down the city for a whole week, the local economy started to feel the weight, and the people who were becoming irritated with being locked in their own homes needed to carry on working and spending money. This forced the Queen, who was now in complete control while the King was still recovering from his injuries, to reluctantly release the lockdown for the good of Romus.
