Arrival

A twitching face contrasted a still sleeping body, cold sweat streaked across his face.

His trembling pale hands gripping a turquoise scabbard.

An awakened personell of the Umbrella Sect noticed and approached him.

The awakened slowly led his hands to wake the Silver haired boy. Until it was suddenly grasped tightly by pale hands.

The personell was startled by the sudden tight grip.

"Kid wake up! Your flimsy hand is gripping me!."

Finsley jumped up from his blanket, still tightly gripping the awakened's black gloved hands.

He opened his teary blue eyes widely and asserted his situation.

He glanced at this hand and lost it's grip of the gloved hands. He wiped his sweating face and teary eyes.

"Sorry about that, ma'am."

"Jesus you really startled me kid, come let's eat, we're near Zeksley."

"Oh, okay sure, thanks for waking me up ma'am."

'Why does this keep happening! I swear to the dead gods if this is what kills me in the future I will... Do nothing.'

They've nearly arrived at his hometown.

Filled with mixed emotions he left the scabbard in his bed and stood to follow the awakened.

'Tea would be nice right now. I'm freezing.'

He approached the makeshift dining area then grabbed a plate and filled it with food. He approached the teapot and filled his cup with green aromatic tea.

He went back to his bunk to eat there and contemplate.

'Can't believe I came back to his horrid place, I wonder if my friends are still here.'

Zeksley. A medium sized city filled with snow and people, Finsley had a lot of wonderful memories here, and one that he wanted to forget. But he couldn't his brain kept reminding him with horrible nightmares.

He munched down his food while the APC struggled to plow through the snowridden path.

He peered to one of the windows that faced his bed and all he could see was snowridden trees, and a few ancient military vehicles.

'That looks so heavy, is the barrel in front supposed to be a rail gun? Maybe a viewing duct, well anyways people in the dark times

helped in making our new and improved spell tech arsenal. How I love humanity's stubborn tenacity and will. Even with all these calamities we still learn to enjoy this hell. hehehe'

He went to the sink and washed his plate. Putting it back to its previous state.

He went to his bunk again but this time to study his belongings.

He had been given a hefty sum for him to live in an apartment for 7 years with a filled stomach.

His eyes delighted by the sight of his own bag of cash.

'My glorious king, Violet Rain. Man, I really wanted to join his sect but oh well Mother Teresa probably wanted me to have closure first. Or rather atleast try to find it.'

He requested to be sent here since he felt that he was gonna find it here. The town that left him with countless questions left unanswered.

He looked at his ring and scabbard with an irritated expression. He still had no clue of what these patterns meant and why he was given these in the first place.

He snuggled his blanket once again and greedily relaxed again.

'Who's stopping me huh? HEHEHEHE.'

He dozed off in an instant and slept cozily in his warm gray blanket as the vehicle was traversing gifted him comforting vibrations and pleasant white noise.

After an hour the vehicle halted.

Finsley woke up confused by the sudden dissappearance of the vibrations and humming of the engines.

Then the same awakened who woke him approached.

"Kid we're finally here. You know we'll be staying here for a while to get some rest. Why don't you stay here in the meantime."

'Bloody spell I'm finally here. Well I expected this much, duh.'

"I'm gonna humbly decline, I want to get use to the atmosphere as soon as possible, but If I could get a favor. Could you please lead me to the apartment?"

A thick faced smile manifested.

"Sorry kid, no can do. I'm the only awakened left here, the others went out."

"That's okay! It's fine.. We'll I'll be off then. Thank you for everything madam Shelly!."

He opened the exit hatch and was met with a chilling cold yet he was unbothered. All because of his body is filled with adrenaline.

'Dang, I'm finally here. But how can they even leave me a 10 year old alone, like come on man.'

He went out checking if his belongings were intact. He waved goodbye to the awakened went to the path leading to the town.

The APC was parked 200 meters from the town so he had to walk for a bit. He walked among the few PTVs.

He had a clear view of the town's outskirts.

Small houses, some shabby, some nice and tidy, were made apparent and 3 to 10 story buildings were prominent in the background.

Putting on his light blue cloak's fur hoodie.

As he walked by the arching entrance of the city.

He saw a familiar face worn by a worn stone statue.

'Dad.. Still as handsome as ever.'

He approached the state's base and carresed it's cold stone. Looking at the stone human's face, he whispered softly.

"I miss you.."

Wiping the tears from his eyes he left the statue and walked towards a bus stop.

While waiting, he studied the town's architecture trends. Some buildings were gothic and rustic, most were modernised buildings with windows filled with lights and life.

'A lot has changed, or did it? maybe I'm the one who changed.'

He reminsced his time training and enjoying his life of the orphanage. Examining his sword and ring with a forlorn sorrowful expression.

'Changes, huh.'

Soon a bus came and he went inside. But before he settled in one of the seats he walked towards an old passenger lady.

He putted on a face of innocence and asked.

"Excuse me ma'am, this is my first time actually riding a bus. Can you assist me for a while?."

A voice that screamed wisdom and comfort emerged from her mouth that rested on her wrinkly old face that wore circle glasses and crowned a hair full of grey.

"Oh why of course lad."

She patted down the empty seat beside her gesturing for Fin to come and sit down.

Smilingly he listened..
