Awakened Kings

The students had chosen their weapons and partnered up in fights without Elvis telling them to do anything.

He decided to play spectator, watching them closely.

Once again, Cross was left with Alba.

"Seriously? I didn't think this would be a problem here as well." He grumbled. He then turned to Alba who just looked at the weapons on display.

She hadn't picked a weapon yet.

"I'm not really a fan of getting violently physical with girls. Last time it was just hands, there's no way I'm using weapons on you." He said to her and made to return all the ones he had on him.

Alba looked his way once and carried on with something else.

"Out of curiosity, may I know why you're blindfolded?" He asked.

"You may not." She replied bluntly.

"No need for the cold shoulder." He turned to where she was facing.

It was an all out brawl in the class. Everyone was giving their all trying to show who was stronger. But the main focuses were Kiyan and the girl, Rodney and Wallace, Raten and Simon, Jarett and Hades.

"I didn't think you'd come up to fight me, or were you told to get rid of me." Hades said to Jarett. "You seem like an underling type who'd take orders from those snow whites."

"Go ahead and think what you want, I just want to fight." Jarett replied.

"You're not worried I'll do something underhanded out of the sour taste you limes left in my mouth?" Hades swung his battle axe as he asked.

"Do what you please." Jarett took a stance and the fight was underway.

Clanging sounds of weapons filled the room as the students engaged themselves in an outright battle.

"Impeccable, truly impeccable." The girl said as she held her own against Kiyan. She was panting as she began to grow tired. He was quicker than her. His movements were more fine tuned. She had been defending more than attacking.

"I can say the same about you." Kiyan replied. "Not really." He snickered.

Her eyebrows furrowed and she launched at him.

The entire time he had been saying things to get under her skin just so she would show more and more aggressiveness while still being level headed. Once she loses her cool, the fight is won.

Meanwhile...

"You look spent. Am I still disappointing?" Rodney asked as he spun his unnecessarily large sword.

Wallace leaped back and skid across the floor before running back in.

"I'll admit, you surprised me." He hit Rodney's blade away and slashed at his thighs.

Rodney jumped back and swung down.

Wallace spun his body and avoided it while holding his sword in a backhand grip as he launched himself again at Rodney with a slash aimed at his ribs. It almost connected, but Rodney blocked it.

"You surprised me t.." he trailed off when a sudden feeling of power filled the room. Even Wallace paused.

Slowly everyone's attention turned to two people, Raten and Simon.

"What the?" Elvis watched them amused.

Raten stood with streaks of lightning like tears running from his eyes to his chin. His white hair now had a blue glow as the ends sparked like lightning bolts.

His blades had blood stains on them. Parts of his skin was cut and he bled from it

In front of him was Simon whose eyes had flames burning in them. What looked like a tattoo of snakes ran up his neck to his chin and were visible on the part of his hands that weren't covered by his sleeves.

The scythe in his hand also had bits of red all over it.

"Entertain me." Simon said with a blood trail running from the side of his mouth down to his jaw. There were also cuts on his skin.

"No way. This isn't base form. They are Awakened kings already in the first year?!" Elvis watched amused, seemingly oblivious to the killing intent one was having towards the other.

Kiyan and the girl stopped and watched too.

"What sort of form is that?" Damien asked, standing close to Alba. He hadn't picked a weapon either.

"The pretty boy isn't just pretty after all." A student said.

"The ever excited one looks excited, but not in a good way." Another said about Simon.

The sound of buzzing came from the two that were locked in intense glare. Lightning leaving both their feet, they met in the middle with a wave of power following. Lightning bolts struck at different places in the class. Some unlucky ones couldn't avoid it.

Kiyan pulled the girl out of the way and took a few steps forward not even hearing her word of gratitude.

The two were going at each other with a few restraints on themselves not wanting to cause much trouble but determined to get a one-up on each other.

Raten cut Simon in the thigh.

Simon retaliated with a slanted cut to Raten's chest.

"He's as fast as Raten?" Kiyan wondered, watching the fight closely while avoiding stray attacks. "No. Raten... You're holding back."

Soon every other fight had stopped as they watched the two go at each other.

Simon's weapon was now coated in flames and small bits of fire escaped from it as he swung it at Raten who blocked, avoided and attacked.

They both were seriously hurting each other. One of them was getting more hurt than the other.

Jarett took his eyes off Hades and felt a sudden gust of wind go past him. He turned and Hades was gone. He looked around but couldn't sense him anywhere.

"It's a shame our fight was cut short." Kiyan said to the girl who still stood next to him.

"Indeed." She replied not taking her eyes off the fight that had gotten everyone's attention.

"May I know your name?" Kiyan asked.

"Hiyori. Fukushima Hiyori." She answered.

"Well then, it was nice to meet you, Ms Fukushima. Hopefully, we get to continue where we left off." He said and vanished from her side.

She turned and returned her gaze to the two when she saw Kiyan suddenly appear with his sword blocking an incoming battle axe that was a distance from Raten's head.

Slowly, the person wielding the axe became visible to everyone.

"Whatchu think you're doing?" Simon asked with his eyes still fixed on Raten whose blade just went past Simon's throat by an inch.

"I couldn't let you have all the fun." Hades replied with a maniacal grin. "But, it looks like I attracted someone else." His gaze remained on Kiyan who just gave a small smile.

"Forgive me, I also wanted to join the fun." Kiyan said. His hair turned into flames dancing behind him.

"Would you look at that? I have that same form, but with a little extra." Hades said and his hair changed to flames as well but had had black streaks of lightning from the roots to the ends.

Kiyan's smile grew as he watched Hades.

"I might truly have some fun." He said.
