Chapter 58- Pixel is such a hussy

Nia stared at her reflection in the mirror, her heart thundering in her chest. Her smokey hazel eyes and her makeup, subtle yet sophisticated, enhanced her sharp cheekbones and full lips, while the midnight-blue dress she'd chosen fit her like a dream. It had a halter neckline that framed her collarbones and shoulders, a hint of shimmer catching the light with every movement. The open back added just the right amount of daring. Her curly hair, styled into loose waves, fell naturally over one shoulder. 

She tilted her head slightly, running her fingers through the soft curls. 

"Not bad," she muttered, though the fluttering in her stomach told a different story. It's been ages since she had put any effort into getting ready herself. The old Nia was a diva, which changed four years ago.
