Chapter 87- Stocking up on personality, or is that still out of stock?

"I could ask you the same thing," Nia said lightly. "What brings you here? Stocking up on personality, or is that still out of stock?"

Riana's smirk faltered for a split second before she quickly recovered. She held up her left hand, flaunting an enormous diamond ring that sparkled obnoxiously under the boutique's lighting.

"Engaged," Riana said smugly, tilting her hand to catch the light. "To Marcus. You must know already. It was covered on the front page of the newspaper. Well, you met him here last time right—he's very handsome, successful and aristocratic. We're here to pick out my wedding ring. You know, for my grand wedding. I'm surprised you didn't hear about it. Oh, wait—of course, you wouldn't. But soon you will, once it is published in the newspapers."

Nia let out a soft laugh, unfazed. "Congratulations again. I warned him last time. Anyways, I hope Marcus knows what he's getting into."
