The dimly lit corridor seemed to stretch endlessly as Zack followed Kieran deeper into the villa. The air was thick with tension, a silent battle of wills hanging between them. Each step Zack took was measured, every breath controlled, his mind already analyzing the layout, identifying exits, and listening for any sign of Nia.

They entered a lavishly furnished room, its opulence in stark contrast to the sinister energy radiating from Kieran. A long dining table stretched across the center, candlelight flickering over an untouched feast—an unsettling display of forced civility.

Kieran gestured toward a chair at the head of the table. "Sit."
