Kaylessa was caught off guard when two tentacles suddenly emerged from the shadow creature, forcefully throwing her to the ground [ET: 700/810]. However, the crimson lighting surrounding her quickly eradicated the tentacles before the creature could make any further moves.
Kay rose to her feet swiftly and glared at the creature with sheer animosity. However, before she could launch another attack, a set of large silver fangs materialized on the featureless face of the shadowy figure, resembling a mouth. What happened next took Kay completely by surprise.
"InFeRiOr BeInG What Is YoU ReLaTiOnShIp With The CrImSoN DeViL?."
Having a raspy voice and speaking in a dialect that Kay struggled to comprehend, the entity that had long been considered an enemy by all races for being perceived as mindless monsters without intelligence was actually communicating with her right here and now!
"I don't know what you are talking about, creature."
Upon hearing Kay's response, the entity clenched its jaws, resembling a mouth, and paused before lunging once more. As they engaged in combat once again, it was the shadow creature who continuously forced Kay to retreat, step by step.
Kay came to realize the immense threat posed by the creature as it continuously adapted and grew stronger during their battle. If she didn't defeat it immediately, the potential consequences could be catastrophic.
This time, in order to unleash all her thunderbolts at once on the creature, she needed to create an opportunity by taking action, so she devised a plan that she believed would give her the upper hand in the situation.
During another confrontation, the weapons clashed between them once more, but Kay suddenly aimed her spear at the creature and charged forward. The creature, under the impression that this inferior was running out of tactics, believed she was risking her life in a desperate attempt to defeat him.
Kaylessa was suddenly propelled upwards at a surprising speed by a red light emanating from her feet [Thunderbolt 5/11], catching the creature off guard and lifting them both into the sky as Kaylessa's spear nearly pierced the creature's ether completely [ET: 134/4,000].
Upon reaching the sky, all members of Kaylessa's squad witnessed their captain illuminated in crimson lighting, engaged in combat against an unseen foe, and they would think there was nothing there if it wasn't for the hive-like barrier that was in front of their captain.
Ayaka stood speechless, unaware of Kay's departure and how she engaged in a battle against something in the sky. Meanwhile, Laurelena gazed at Kay with awe, as if beholding the most exquisite view in existence.
In the sky above, Kaylessa lowered her spear, bringing the creature down with it and unleashing all her power to crush it to the ground [Thunderbolt 0/11]. The night sky turned red and became noisy briefly as a thunderous crash echoed near Kay's group [Hp: 850/1,800] [ET: 0/4,000].
Shortly after, Kaylessa also fell to the ground [ET: 234/810], aiming her spear at the beast. Upon impact, her spear penetrated the creature's chest, pinning it to the ground [Hp: 300/1,800].
The creature was covered in injuries, with silver blood flowing continuously from various wounds, particularly the chest where a spear was embedded. Its health points were rapidly decreasing. It gazed at its conqueror and tossed its sword towards her before succumbing to death [Hp: 0/1,800].
Witnessing this incredible spectacle left everyone in awe, as they were unable to find words to describe its divine essence. The beauty of their captain was heightened even more by the captivating crimson lighting that surrounded her.
Kaylessa grabbed the sword thrown at her by the creature and noticed her spear had completely melted. It appeared as though the spear couldn't withstand the intense heat of five thunderbolts being fired simultaneously.
Once Kaylessa grasped the sword, it transformed into a sleek black spear three meters in length, seemingly tailored to suit her. It suddenly dawned on her that the creature was presenting the sword to her as a prize for defeating it, as it did not disintegrate.
The hive sensed the absence of its master and began to shift uneasily in an attempt to escape, but it was futile. Arrows rained down on it, accompanied by a mysterious green energy that evoked a sense of anger within the hive. Rather than fleeing, it surged towards the source of the green aura, a small turtle.
Kaylessa commanded her team to pursue and destroy the hive, and they found it simpler to accomplish due to the distracting antics of a Grandpa turtle. The turtle's taunt was successful in diverting the attention of their target, causing it to turn around and follow them instead.
Without its army of ghouls, the hive had nothing other than its size, but thanks to the archers and mages, it was quickly defeated.
Kay's rage dissipated once the creature perished, causing her appearance to revert to normal. The fiery red aura around her disappeared, and her eyes returned to their usual purple hue without the fiery red tint.
After the intense battle, she was drained and simply desired to relax, resting her head on Ayaka's chest and basking in the scent of cinnamon. As she made her way back to camp, she was met by the girl she had been searching for, prompting her to rush into a hug and bury her face in Ayaka's ample chest.
She planted a lingering kiss on Ayaka's delectable lips, exploring her mouth with her tongue. Surprisingly, the taste of Ayaka's saliva was reminiscent of cinnamon, sparking Kay's curiosity and intensifying her desire to continue savoring Ayaka's taste and touch.
"ah"
Ayaka let out a small moan as a response to Kay's aggressive kissing. Kay then grabbed the hand of Ayaka and took her to one of the houses on ruins that was retired from the campament. She pushed the back of Ayaka against the wall and kept kissing her while her eyes started to turn red again.
