The Kay unit has been marching non-stop from early afternoon to late evening. The soldiers found it easier to rest and even sleep a few hours thanks to the armored wagon and the small squad size, allowing them to take more turns.
The quick pace of the march shortened the expected 3-day journey to the frontlines to just 1 and a half days. This means they would reach their destination early the following afternoon.
Ayaka was asleep inside the treasure wagon, holding Kay on her right side, while Lau was also holding Kay with her leg on the left side, and both girls were using Kay's arms as pillows.
Kay couldn't resist any longer, so she woke up and attempted to remove her hands from the grip of these two animals, but she was unsuccessful. After letting out a deep sigh, she accepted defeat and went back to sleep, sacrificing her hands.
Early in the morning, Lau woke up, and the first thing she saw was Kay's face, which appeared lifeless and drained, as if her soul had left her body.
"Kyaaaaa, Kay, wake up, are you okay?"
Ayaka woke up in a panic after hearing Lau's shout and hurriedly checked Kay's status window. She felt relieved when she saw that everything was fine.
"My arms are useless now; everything is finished. You cruel creatures took them away from me; sob sob."
"I'm sorry; I didn't mean to cause you harm. Im sorry."
Lau was constantly freaking out, almost to the point of tears welling up in her eyes.
"Dear Kay, please stop teasing Lau; she's going to end up crying if you continue."
Ayaka immediately noticed that Kay was just teasing them.
"Did we hurt your arms? How about Lau and I give you a massage as a thank you for your generous sacrifice?"
"Yes, we can do that!"
Ay playfully suggested giving Kay a massage, which Lau immediately agreed to, while Kay went along with it. The girls then proceeded to massage Kay's arms, with Lau giving a regular massage while Ayaka was even sucking on Kay's fingers.
Time went by in that way. Lau was standing on top of the wagon's rooftop, and she could see in the distance a large wall and mountains floating in the sky with towers on them.
"Kay look! Is that the fronlines?"
Kaylessa left the wagon to see what Lau was referring to.
"Yep, now come down; we need to get ready."
Armored troops were frequently spotted on the frontlines because they were already on the defensive perimeter of the frontlines. In the sky, various flying creatures with riders were constantly flying in and out.
Lau had never left the village before, so seeing all these wonderful things was a new experience for her. She was filled with excitement, like a child at a carnival, taking pleasure in every new sight and sound.
Once the small convoy reached the main entrance,. A guard approached them, and Ay went to him to handle the identifications. Within a few minutes, they were given permission to enter.
The convoy kept going until it reached the Crimson Knights' training grounds. Following Ayaka's command, the soldiers began unloading the wagons to sell the leftover supplies and store the tents.
"Ay and Lau, come with me to give the report to Dareldrin about the mission. After that, we will sell the jewelry and use the money to pay the soldiers."
The girls nodded and walked to Dareldrin's office to give a report on the mission. When they reached the door, Kay gently knocked, and after a short wait, they heard Dareldrin's voice coming from inside.
"Com in, ah, its you lads."
"Sir, we have completed our mission, and we are here to provide you with our report."
After hearing that, Dareldrin motioned for them to take a seat.
Kaylessa, Ayaka, and Laurelena told him about the first village, the army fighting against it, and Lau joining the squad. They also informed him about what happened to the second and third villages, as well as the creature that could speak.
"Great job, lads. You did well on this mission. Here is your payment. You can go now. And remember, do not talk about the talking creature to avoid causing panic. You are free to go."
Dareldrin gave Ayaka the 10,000g reward that he had promised, and then they left the office.
The girls proceeded to the treasure cart to place the coins in the chest with the rest and then carried them along with the jewelry box.
Kay called upon two thunder soldiers to serve as guards, while Lau took the chest filled with coins and Ay carried the chest filled with jewels. Because of their improved physical abilities, they were able to carry the chests with ease.
Their next stop was the bank on the frontlines. The soldiers informed them that they could swap the gold coins for paper money known as Rados, which was more convenient to carry.
Once they entered the large bank building, they noticed the extensive security measures in place. One of the female bank employees spotted the three attractive girls and approached them.
"Welcome, is this your first time visiting one of our banks?"
"Yes, it is. What do we need to do to change the gold coins to Rados?"
Ayaka was the one that answered; the bank girl was captivated by the beautiful girl's seductive voice and began explaining the process of opening a bank account. She advised them to approach one of the bank workers at the windows to exchange their gold for Rados.
She informed them that they could also sell the jewelry at the bank, and they would receive the standard market price. Kay didn't want to have to search for a buyer later, so she agreed. They decided to open a bank account in Kay's name.
"Hey Kay, since you took my first time, you will have to take responsibility for me all your life."
Kay's face turned red like a tomato after Ay said something. Ay noticed Kay's flushed face and smiled softly. Lau, who overheard everything, also blushed bright red.
