Fennel looked over to see Oliver snoring in his sleep. He stepped out of bed and hurriedly wrapped a sheet around his body. He peaked out the door. "Jasper, could you get a maid to fill up the bath?"
Jasper glanced at the king, then looked away. He had a pretty good idea why the ruler was wrapped in just a sheet, but he wouldn't say a single word about it. "Yes, my king."
Fennel returned to the bedroom and waited until the maid announced the bath was ready. He sighed contently and then went to the washroom. He dipped his toes in the water first. It was one of the good perks about being a noble—warm bath water whenever desired.
He slunk onto the bath and closed his eyes. The water felt relaxing on his body. Before long, he felt Oliver's presence. The silver-haired man joined him in the bath and gently splashed the water in his direction. When he felt the water on his face, he flicked his tail.
"Cruel," Fennel pouted. "It's too early to be playing."
