The dimly lit bar fell silent as everyone present turned their gaze to Shoto, whose defiant expression contrasted with the chilly atmosphere. Heroes and villains alike watched with curiosity, trying to make sense of the unfolding situation before them.
All Might broke the silence, his expression a mix of confusion and concern. "Young Todoroki, what are you doing? Don't you know they're villains?" he asked, searching for a logical explanation for Shoto's defiant attitude.
Shoto showed no signs of confusion at All Might's question. He maintained his cold, serious gaze as he replied firmly, "Don't call me Todoroki. My name is Shoto, just Shoto." Each word carried a conviction that made it clear he had made a definitive choice.
Gran Torino frowned, assessing the situation with sharp eyes. "What's going on here?" he muttered to himself as he watched the events unfold. The other heroes present exchanged looks of confusion and readiness, prepared to act as necessary.
Bakugou, always impulsive and direct, couldn't hold back. "Damn it, Shoto! What the hell is wrong with you? They're our enemies!" he exclaimed, his voice resonating with frustration and disbelief at the situation.
Shoto didn't respond immediately. Instead, he surveyed the heroes with an intensity that hinted at something more significant at play. "I'm no longer who you thought I was," he finally said, his words carrying a weight that hung in the bar's air.
Gran Torino interjected with his sharp gaze and reflective tone, breaking the silence that followed Shoto's words. "Why are you defending them? We came to rescue you!" he asked, his expression a mix of disbelief and curiosity.
Shoto held his gaze on Gran Torino for a moment before responding seriously, "Because it's the right thing to do." His words resonated with a conviction that brooked no argument. Though his decision was difficult for many to understand, for him, it represented an uncompromising principle in that moment of conflict.
The heroes present exchanged looks of confusion and concern, especially All Might.
Edgeshot, who had been silently observing, finally spoke up. "Defend what is right? They are villains, they are endangering society!"
Bakugou, watching the scene with incredulity and anger, interjected. "Todoroki, I don't know what the hell has gotten into you, but this isn't you!"
Shoto turned to Bakugou with an impassive expression. "When I first saw you, I thought you were someone worthy of respect. But now... I'm not so sure anymore." His tone was colder than the ice beginning to form on his hands.
Shoto raised a hand, preparing to launch his attack. "Now I will make them pay for what they did to these people, Ice Arrow." Sharp ice arrows began to form from his right hand, pointing directly at the heroes.
The ice arrows gleamed with a cold, menacing light. The heroes went on high alert as everyone prepared for what would come next.
In the distance, a thunderous explosion shook the ground beneath their feet. They were hiding in a dark corner of the warehouse, near stacks of empty boxes and stacked pallets. Midoriya, along with Kirishima, Iida, Momo, Tokoyami and Jirou, held their breath as they watched the chaos unfolding in the place.
Midoriya, heart pounding, silently wondered who could emanate such a threatening presence.
"What is this? Who is that person and why does he exude such a deathly presence?" His thoughts echoed in his mind as he watched the chaos unfold.
Iida, paralyzed by fear, could barely articulate his thoughts. "Who is... I'm so scared..."
Kirishima, trying to keep calm, looked around in disbelief. "How can someone like that exist?"
Momo, worried for everyone's safety, nervously whispered, "It can't be... What if he finds us?"
Jirou, staring in horror at the destruction around her, clenched her fists in frustration. "Damn it... He destroyed the place effortlessly. We need to run."
Tokoyami, usually composed, felt his confidence faltering. "Even Dark Shadow is scared. This has never happened before... And on top of it, he took down the heroes, including Number 4."
Amidst the chaos and confusion, Midoriya remembered something crucial: "Could it be... All For One?"
Everyone was terrified, helplessly watching as All For One destroyed the warehouse and defeated the heroes with disheartening ease. The situation was dire and seemed to worsen with each passing second.
Bakugou, setting aside his initial shock, shouted in fury. "What the hell was that?! Where the hell are we?"
Shoto, keeping calm in the face of adversity, tried to reassure Bakugou. "Relax, explosive kid,"
Bakugou turned towards him with contained anger. "What did you call me?!"
Shoto raised a hand in a peace gesture. "Don't yell, I'm just trying to help."
Bakugou grunted but seemed to relax a bit at Shoto's calm tone.
Before tension could escalate, Midoriya, Kirishima, Iida, Momo, Tokoyami, and Jirou noticed the close presence of Todoroki and Bakugou.
Midoriya, determined to act, tried to move towards them, but Iida held him back along with Kirishima. Momo did the same with Jirou and Tokoyami, trying to keep the group together and safe.
At that moment, All For One made his triumphant entrance, turning his attention to Shoto and Bakugou with a malicious smile. "Hello, young Shoto and Bakugou. Finally, I see you face to face."
Bakugou growled under his breath. "He's the boss of those idiots."
Todoroki, intrigued but still cautious, showed no signs of intimidation. "Which face? Who are you?"
All For One, with a respectful nod, introduced himself with a sinister smile. "Where are my manners? I am All For One. A pleasure to meet you, young ones."
Bakugou, unable to contain himself any longer, lunged at All For One in fury. "You...! What the hell are you plotting? You just destroyed everything without a second thought!"
Shoto, using his control over ice to maintain composure, intervened. "Wait, Bakugou. We won't gain anything by rushing in."
All For One, with a dark laugh, watched the scene with palpable interest. "Interesting... It seems the young heroes are more than willing to challenge me."
Shoto, calmly, asked with a trembling voice. "What do you want, All For One? Why have you brought us here?"
All For One crossed his arms, looking at them with an expression that made it clear he was in control of the situation. "Oh, my dear young ones. I haven't brought you here to harm you... at least not all of you."
Bakugou remained silent, cautiously watching the enemy. Todoroki, on the other hand, decided to address directly the reason for their meeting:
"So, it was you who wanted to speak with me. Tell me, what do you want from me?"
------------------------------
[5 minutes earlier]
Ice Arrow!
A large number of ice arrows were heading towards them.
"Look out!" shouted All Might as the ice arrows headed towards them.
"All Might, watch out!" shouted Kamui Woods as the ice arrows came dangerously close.
All Might, with quick reflexes, stepped between the arrows and the nearest heroes, deflecting some with his strength and blocking others with his body to protect Edgeshot and Gran Torino.
"Damn, this guy is serious!" exclaimed Edgeshot as he moved nimbly to dodge the remaining arrows.
Gran Torino, with his superhuman speed, jumped back and forth avoiding the arrows headed his way. "What the hell is Todoroki's son thinking?" he growled to himself, perplexed by the situation.
Watching with concern, he muttered to himself, "Has Todoroki's son joined them?" he asked.
All Might, in a deep and confused voice, addressed Todoroki: "Young Todoroki, what are you doing?"
Todoroki, with a grim expression, kept his gaze fixed on All Might. "My name is not Todoroki, just Shoto," he muttered to himself as he continued to launch his attacks.
"When I'm done with you, I'll seek out the one who mistook me for him and deform his face so that you'll stop doing it."
All Might, despite being under siege from the ice attacks, looked earnestly at Todoroki. "Young Shoto, this is not what your father would want," he said in a firm voice, trying to talk some sense into the young man.
Todoroki didn't respond, focused on his goal of stopping the heroes who he felt had unfairly attacked the villains.
All Might, Edgeshot and Gran Torino were stunned by the young man's threat and defiant attitude.
Shoto continued without emoting, addressing both heroes : "And what I'm doing is simple.... I'm just doing the right thing, helping the helpless."
The villains present watched in surprise as Todoroki defended him .
"Infernal Flare." with a swift movement, he launched a blast of fire towards the heroes. Edgeshot, Gran Torino and All Might moved quickly to protect Kamui Woods and dodge the flames, making sure to also protect nearby branches from catching fire.
Edgeshot, still puzzled by the situation, muttered to himself, "He thinks we're the bad guys."
All Might, as he forcefully deflected the flames, wondered, "Young Todoroki.... Does he want to save them from us? What have the villains done to him?"
The tension in the air was tense as the confrontation between heroes and the renegade Todoroki continued to rage.
Gran Torino, determined to put an end to the confrontation, took a firm stance and warned the young man earnestly, "Enough, brat. This is the end of your theatrics." heading off at great speed.
Todoroki seeing this, reacting with agility, dodged the kick aimed at his head, backing up a few steps. "That was a close call. Hey, old man, I don't want to have to hit you. You'd better back off."
All Might, impressed as always by the young man's reflexes, commented, "As usual, his reflexes are among the best." He looked at Gran Torino
Gran Torino was surprised not many were able to match his kicks. He looked at Shoto with anger.
"I don't know how you could dodge it, boy - but I won't miss this time!"
Gran Torino, was preparing with a technique to increase his speed , paused for a moment at Shoto's words he said next.
"We'll see, My sixth sense is quite strong."
"Sixth sense? What are you implying, brat?" asked Gran Torino in disbelief, trying to understand the young hero's words.
All Might, who was standing next to Edgeshot, tried to decipher the meaning behind Shoto's words. "What does he mean by sixth sense, does he have some kind of special ability that we don't know about?" he muttered to himself as he watched the situation carefully.
Edgeshot watched cautiously, processing the situation and Todoroki's words about his "Sixth sense".
"Sixth sense? That means he's a carrier...? No, I mustn't put ideas in. I must check it out first."
Everyone was confused, before that answer. But they were interrupted by a voice..,
Bakugou, who was impatient, called everyone's attention: "Hey! Those idiots did something to him. They seem to have erased all his memories. He doesn't know who we are, or them. And the worst thing is that he can't get them back because the person responsible is dead.... Or so they say."
Gran Torino, taking in the revelation, muttered to himself, "They erased the kid's memories. That explains why he's acting like this."
Edgeshot, connecting the dots, added, "If that's true, then he believes that villains aren't bad people and that it was us who attacked them for no reason."
"Where is the villain who erased the memories?" asked Gran Torino as he turned a piercing gaze toward the villains.
Shigaraki, the leader of the villains, calmly stepped forward and calmly explained, "That villain is no longer among us, Lett died at the hands of Shoto Todoroki."
The revelation fell like a bucket of water on their heads among the heroes . Kamui Woods frowned, processing the information. and added, "So.... Shoto's memories were affected by that incident?" her voice low but loud enough to be heard"
Edgeshot looked at Shigaraki in disbelief. "So, what you're saying is Shoto's memories can't be retrieved, is that what you're saying?"
Shigaraki nodded with a sardonic grimace. "That's right. The villain responsible for that is no longer among us. There's no turning back."
All Might, with a grim expression, concluded with a whisper, "He's dead. It must have been the villain who died in the camp.... The one that young Todoroki.... accidentally killed."
All Might, looked around at the surroundings, now with more clarity he felt a huge concern looking at the Villains.
"This is bad."
