Kylie’s POV.
I sat on the edge of the bed, my thoughts a tangled mess. The whisper of Coral’s voice still echoed in my mind. “Have faith in him,” she had said. It had been so long since I’d heard her, my wolf, my other half. Her voice had been a constant companion until Graham had shattered our bond. Now, hearing her again after all this time was both comforting and unsettling.
“Coral,” I whispered aloud, “you’re back.”
There was no response, just the silence of the room. But I could feel her presence, a flicker of life within me that I hadn’t felt in so long. She was as much a victim of Graham’s betrayal as I was. When he hurt me, he hurt her too. Every wound I bore, she bore as well. The pain, betrayal, and heartbreak had all been shared.
“Remember when we trusted him?” I thought, my mind drifting back to those days. “We believed in him so completely.”
