The confrontation with Logan lingered in my mind like a dark cloud. His words had cut deeper than I cared to admit. I had grown so attached to him that any confrontation, especially one so intense, hurt me more than I was willing to show. My heart ached with a mix of regret and stubborn resolve.

Despite my reluctance, I forced myself to go to the office. As the General Manager, I had responsibilities that couldn't be ignored, no matter how much I wanted to stay hidden away. With a heavy heart, I headed to Novalife, hoping the day's work would distract me from my emotional turmoil.
