Kylie’s POV
Flora leaves the hospital, her triumphant laughter echoing in my ears. My hands clench into fists, anger simmering beneath my calm exterior. “She thinks she’s won,” I mutter to myself, my determination hardening. “But this is just the beginning.”
I turn to my family, their faces etched with worry and confusion. My mother steps forward, her eyes searching mine. “Kylie, what’s going on? Is everything alright?”
I take a deep breath, forcing a reassuring smile. “Mom, Dad, I promise you, everything will be fine. Flora is just trying to stir trouble. I have everything under control.”
My father frowns, his concern evident. “Are you sure, Kylie? This sounds serious.”
“I’m sure,” I reply firmly. “I’ve dealt with worse. Trust me, I’ll handle this.” I squeeze my mother’s hand, trying to infuse her with some of my confidence. “Please, just go home and stay safe. I’ll keep you updated.”
