"Wow!"

However, before Zero could leave, a crashing sound of glass breaking interrupted him. Morrie, who had just been bid goodnight by Zero, suddenly appeared on the grass. The black market merchant didn't look too good; despite the turf cushioning his fall, the glass shards had caused numerous small cuts, leaving him with minor bleeding.

"Damn it! God will surely spit on you guys who don't keep your word! Dear Ye, you must help me for the sake of our past good cooperation!" Morrie cursed quietly, then, upon noticing Zero standing nearby, immediately got up and pleaded for help.

Zero, who had a guilty conscience due to the magic statue he took, felt a momentary panic facing the black market merchant who fell from the sky. But after hearing Morrie's words, Zero realized it was none of his business. Immediately, he felt relieved.

Before Zero could speak, two black muzzles appeared in the window of Morrie's convalescent ward on the second floor. The next moment, bullets started raining down on Zero and Morrie.

 "Thwip! Thwip! Thwip!"

The sound of silenced pistol shots barely attracted any attention in the quiet night. Zero and the nimble black market merchant swiftly dove behind a flower bed, narrowly escaping the first wave of gunfire. The flower bed provided just enough cover to withstand the initial assault.

"Asshole Morrie, did you seduce a woman from some district boss? Why is there a hit squad after you in the middle of the night?" Zero's temper flared due to the sudden attack. Crouching low behind the flowerbed, he whispered angrily at the black market merchant. Looking very innocent, Morrie widened his eyes and swore, "I swear to God, I've never done such a thing! They're not trustworthy; they're here to double-cross me! My bodyguards are all gone! Oh, damn! My treasures haven't been transferred yet!"

After Morrie explained, he immediately thought about his treasures that hadn't been moved and impulsively tried to rush out, only to be pushed down by Zero.

 "Thwip! Thwip!"

Morrie's rash action drew more gunfire from above. Zero slapped Morrie across the face and shouted, "Are you crazy? Do you want to die? Can you not tell what's more important right now?"

"Of course I can tell, but without money, what the hell is the point!" Morrie, awakened by the slap, began to cry as if mourning a death. Zero, furious, decided to ignore Morrie's obsession with money and focused entirely on the situation at hand.

 "Thwip! Thwip! Thwip!"

Weak gunfire sounded again, bullets pouring down relentlessly, hitting the flowerbed tiles, sending flowers and plants flying in the moonlit night. However, Zero, hiding beneath the flowerbed, smirked. Despite the demon hunter's code against harming ordinary people, it didn't apply when their own safety was at risk. And clearly, this was one such situation.

Zero reached into his coat and pulled out his M500 revolver. The moment the silver gun appeared in the dark, it shone like lightning.

The M1911 automatic pistol, with its simple structure and few parts, made it easy to disassemble and reassemble; its reliability and safety were highly valued by the army, law enforcement agencies, security personnel, and civilian enthusiasts alike.

Zero, having a deep affection for firearms, quickly recognized the gun in the assailants' hands. Familiar with the M1911's strengths and weaknesses, he silently counted the shots since the ambush began.

 "Fourteen shots, just right!"

When the assailants' shooting paused, Zero seized the opportunity. He jumped out of the flower bed and fired two shots in quick succession. The M500 revolver, with its .50-inch caliber and Magnum high-power bullets, was naturally powerful—equivalent to twice the firepower of a Desert Eagle. The sound was deafening, like two claps of thunder in the quiet night.

 "Bang! Bang!"

The gunfire shattered the night's silence, followed immediately by the wail of sirens from the hospital's main building, echoing through the night sky.

"Run!" Zero grabbed Morrie and dashed towards the back of the hospital. With the alarm triggered, security would arrive within two minutes, and the police in ten. If they didn't leave now, they'd be trapped.

"My treasures!" Morrie let out a heart-wrenching cry, but he understood the consequences of returning now. So, reluctantly, he cursed under his breath as they fled, "Those two damn bastards, I must..."

"They're dead! And we need to move faster!" Zero, dissatisfied with Morrie's distraction, corrected him and pulled the black market merchant along, increasing their speed. By the time hospital security and the police arrived, Zero and Morrie had already escaped the hospital's perimeter.

In the systematic evaluation, the M1911 is a general pistol with a simple structure, few parts, easy assembly, good safety, and low failure rate.

As for the M500, it's a reinforced pistol with great power, requiring strong arms to handle.

Although Zero couldn't identify the specific power of the two guns due to his low attributes, the evaluations made it clear which one was superior. Besides, the M500 was designed to hunt large animals like elephants and rhinos, far surpassing the M1911. Therefore, despite the assailants' efforts to dodge, the M500's power allowed Zero's shots to penetrate the wall and hit them.
