I was still half awake when Wang Muchen carried me out of bed and to the bathroom. Even after washing me, I didn't wake up until we were in the car and halfway to the airport.
I looked at my surroundings in puzzlement. Glancing outside the window, the sky was dark and the road was littered with bright street lights.
I glared at Wang Muchen sullenly
"We're already married there's no need to stage a kidnaping."
He seemed to smile softly although I wasn't really able to make it out through the shadows.
"There's some food back there."
I grabbed the bento box at the side of the seat and opened it. There were some waffles, fried chicken, potato fries and cut apples in it.
I cleaned my hand with a paper towel and dug in.
"Why is our flight so early?"
"I want us to get there fast and do what honeymooners do"
I almost choked on my food. He's quite honest.
