Chapter 19 Seastone
Under the bright sunshine, Gnar, Robin, and Zala worked hard in the Little Garden at the stern of the ship.
The two ladies did not shy away from the scorching sun above their heads. They enthusiastically planted flowers, saplings, and various seeds. Gnar handled the physical tasks, including cultivating the fields and carrying water and fertilizer.
The Little Garden was not very large, but it took the two ladies a whole morning to organize it neatly.
Both Robin and Zala were very enthusiastic, watering the pots and adding the final touches.
However, while the two ladies were busy, they subconsciously avoided Gnar's position. This wasn't because they were dissatisfied with their captain, but because the pair of black shackles on Gnar's arms exuded a lethargic aura that made them uneasy.
Of course, they couldn't help but express their concern and ask questions.
"How are you adapting to the Seastone, Gnar?" Robin asked.
Gnar walked out of the cabin with a big bucket of water in his arms, shook the Seastone shackles on his hands, making a clear sound, and answered, "It's not bad. I've adapted to it, and it has no impact on my normal life."
This surprised both Robin and Zala.
Both of them knew about the existence of Seastone. Robin had heard about it from Gnar, and Zala knew about it through her time as an agent of Baroque Works.
But neither of them had ever really come into contact with Seastone. So, after they boarded the new ship and saw the Seastone handcuffs on Gnar, they both wanted to try them out.
Then they regretted it.
The feeling of being so weak that they couldn't even lift a finger frightened them.
And the natural restraint exuded by Seastone made them vow to stay away from the shackles in the future.
But it was such a terrifying Seastone that it only took Gnar, the captain, one morning to adapt to it.
"It's incredible!" Robin said with some admiration.
Miss Zala wiped the sweat from her forehead and agreed, "I've also heard that Seastone is the nemesis of Devil Fruit powers. This kind of restraint is almost absolute. I didn't expect you, Gnar, to be able to adapt to it."

Robin didn't speak but looked at Gnar.
"Of course!" Gnar nodded decisively. "I can find a safe island and leave you there, but..."
Gnar then smiled. "Zala, you are already my woman. Don't think about running away. I will come back to pick you up after Robin and I finish our work in Alabasta..."
Zala's face stiffened, and she complained, "Then does it make any difference whether I quit or not?"
As long as she returned to Gnar, she would definitely be noticed by the BOSS and the World Government.
