The sudden appearance of the bat in the middle of the battle startled Ain, who was trying hard to suppress Gnar.

Ain knew she might not get an answer from the pirate, but to her surprise, he replied.
"Oh, you want to know why I came to Alabasta?"
Ain was shocked and didn't understand Gnar's intentions, but since he had spoken, she had no reason to refuse.
"You're going to tell me?"
"Of course, why not? But you also have to answer me a question. In exchange, I'll tell you the purpose of my coming to Alabasta."
Ain frowned slightly but still said, "What is the question?"
She expected Gnar to ask something related to Marine secrets, but what he said next stunned her.
"May I have your name?"

"Of course not. As long as you tell me your name, I'll tell you my purpose for coming to Alabasta."
Ain was confused. Although hesitant, she gritted her teeth and said, "My name is Ain. Now, Vampire Gnar, it's your turn to answer my question."
Gnar looked satisfied and said softly, "Ain, what a nice name! I'll remember it."
Inexplicably, Ain felt a strange tone when he said her name. She wanted to ask more, but Gnar continued.
"My purpose in coming to Alabasta is very simple. I am not satisfied with the bounty and title you Marines gave me!"

"Does Miss Ain have a boyfriend?"
Though she expected another unserious question, Ain was still surprised by Gnar's query.
However, she did not feel any shame. She just wanted to know what Gnar was planning in Alabasta, so she replied with a cold face.
"No. Now, it's time for you to answer!"
Gnar didn't waste any time and said, "Crocodile, that's my target. He's in this country right now."
"What!?"
Ain was shocked, and her pupils contracted sharply.
The surrounding Marines and pirate bounty hunters also reacted immediately.
"Hey, Crocodile? The Crocodile I know?"
"The guy who challenged Whitebeard in the New World and even fought against Bullet, the devil's child..."
"The great pirate with a bounty of 81 million beli..."
"Shouldn't a monster like that be in the New World?"
"Hiding in Alabasta? Are you kidding..."
